Illegal US immigrants take any job to survive

The economic crisis has claimed over 6 million jobs in the US and the employment market is flooded. And with illegal immigrants ready to work for low pay new job seekers have tough competition.
Oscar Garcia is standing in a parking lot looking for a job… Less than five miles from the White House one can find many groups of men like him – day laborers willing to do pretty much anything for money.
“Sometimes I make $100 a week, sometimes I could probably make $200 – it depends,” Garcia says.
Garcia is from El Salvador but he’s been living in the United States since he was five years old. He says he lost his legal documentation so it’s hard for him to find a job.
“I need a green card to go get a job, and that’s another reason why I’m here just trying to make some money,” Garcia explains.
It’s no secret though that most of the day laborers are illegal immigrants – some studies indicate as much as 80 per cent of them.
But with unemployment levels in the US reaching 9.5 per cent, there has been a crackdown on illegal immigrants in the area.
Casa de Maryland, a local non-profit organization, has made it its mission to help out immigrants. It has set up work centers to give day laborers a place to wait for work.
“We provide assistance and services for all the people. With legal documentation or without it – we don’t care about that,” says Marinio Cordoba, Casa de Maryland organizer.
Centers like this exist across the state of Maryland. Critics say they promote illegal immigration but the people who work for the organization say they’re just trying to help immigrants find jobs – regardless of their paperwork.
“I don’t think this is illegal activities, this is human being activities,” Marinio Cordoba says.
And people like Oscar Garcia say they are not looking for a handout – just looking to get by.
“A lot of these guys are just looking for work. They’re not looking for the government to give them anything for free,” Oscar Garcia says.
It’s been a few days since Garcia got a job last time. But he says he’s determined to do whatever he has to in order to survive.

Right now we legal americans we will take jobs we don't want to feed our familes but u got 12 hispanics living in one house or apt and they get the jobs we don't get hired but people will hire them for little or nothing, when these illegals were not here who worked then now they are coming in numbers and getting hired don't tell me we want work for less for we will thet is a myth for we can't get hired for the illegals-they go home come back tax free money,and then laugh at us for not getting hired.How do they come herer with no trade then u look around they owned lots of stores,resturants,companies-for the banks did not loan us the money to get started but they loan them money & not us people who have credit good credit they have none & get by it's ridiculous, when they are not working they can go back across the border until they hear we have jobs here in the U.S.& here they come blocking others from getting hired & always in the front line getting free stuff yes free stuff when they can afford to pay and yes we do it to but they come with an illegal agenda-come honest I think back over the yrs when I did not see a latino any where then all of a sudden here they are Mexico has jobs and money why can't they stay at home and reep there own benefits & let us enjoy our benefits here and not have to pay for others who are abusing the system,& we let them this has got to stop.
My thing is how can illegals come to america and reep the benefits of those who are legals americans they come here and get everything in the world & they have just ate up medicaid they come & pay little or nothing for hospital stay where we pay our tax dollars for them when we have so many of our own who needs help they come over here and get all the help they need where we get nothing can't get nothing for they have broke they system,they have too many people with so call names all are the same names,but yet and still we as legal citizens have to catch hell for them,ther is a hospital here in carolina which was mostly black & white who could go there for treatment,now the hispanic community has taken over and now we can't get the help we need for them always there lines are long and they are in the long lines we have to come back because there are to many hispanics there and they are illegals who is getting care for free or $3 to be seen,where we have to pay the full price and that is not fair we work for ourselves where they just sit and have babies for us to pay for their luxuary, they pay little taxes because we pay for them to be here, illegals need to do the right thing and get legal pay back taxes like we do, it's to many who is taking away from the legal americans who work and pay taxes they also get anything they want like social serv. they go down and get everything free where is that we get nothing especially the elder they are taking away from them as well, they lie and say they donot speak english well hell if you have been here for 5-40yrs don't you think somebody needs to speak english by this length of time-for we cannot get away with this,all I am saying is that it's time to put a top to all illegal hispanics they are the largest ethnic group we have now and they are not fair at all,and they know exactly what they are doing and gets away with it all.this is why the economy is in trouble with healthcare now for we left holding the costs.
here is a a true story that happens everyday .ILLEGALS work here have families here get welfare,food stamps,housing, insurance, all on AMERICAN tax dollars,some have broken many laws like theft,driving without licence, no insurance,hit n run,killed american people only to be released back into our streets to reap our MEDICARE N SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM FROM OUR ELDERLY, this is total B.S. while this goverment sits back n talks about what to do for 20 years .
