This is a good step, because it will allow us to understand in a definitive way, given a transparent process, whether the US people themselves support torture, it will put in perspective whether torture is a US incorporation thing, or a will of the people thing. We can then judge how far the US has decended into a cesspit of social decline. If the people on mass don't accept torture, then rehabiltating the US, should prove easy. If the people do see utility in torture, then US rehabilitation may be a very difficult and drawn out task.
