Anti-war hip-hop activist Marc Hall has been jailed in the US for releasing a hip-hop song that hits out at the American military's so-called 'stop loss' policy.
America is free and nice and democratic, until you go against it. Once you do, you see the real cruel and cynical face of America that would make Saddam blush.
He was in the military, you two are acting like he is a civilian.
Sean 1. His contract was violated. 2. His human rights of a free will were abused. 3. Freedom of speech is not restricted to just one group of the society. 4. He was jailed for writing a song. Come on man, putting people in jail for writing a song, this doesn’t happen in Iran which your country characterises it as dictatorship. The World is gradually but surely discovering the real America which had been hiding behind iron curtain for a long time.
Getting involuntarily extended past the discharge date for the military {when at war} is not new. During the Vietnam war servicemen got involuntarily extended. There is no draft for the military today. Everyone who is at war volunteered to serve in the military and everyone in the American military today is a volunteer. Anyone who does not want to serve in combat, simply should not volunteer to join the military in the first place.
Oh yeah, rap, here are some career options if you're a poor, average public school kid after high school in the US: 1.Unemployment 2.Crime 3.Military
If the worlds largest army wouldn't have anything to do, they would be chewing on their nails. It is "thanks" to all foes out there that USA's army have something to do. It is a paradox.
-.- Read more about things instead of getting it from one source. This guy was redeployed and he AWOL'ed It's not the song. It's him going AWOL.
See what happens when you don't tell the entire story? No one has ever been jailed for writing a song. Name one. Teodor, have you ever been to another country, especially one ran by a dictator? And Paul, do you comprehend the cruelty of Saddam? Do you know what that man did to his fellow Iraqis? I served there twice and spoke to them first hand. Saddam was equivalent to Hitler and his torturing and massacres. Get your facts straight before spewing opinions based on half truths and straight up lies. The author of this blog should be ashamed for even writing this trash.

Talk about freedom of speech and human rights—America is worse than Iran or any other country when it comes to general freedom of its population. This is going on in US for decades now and if it hadn’t been for RT the World would have never known. Speak the truth and shame the devil. Thank RT and God bless you.
