Iraqis are not ready enough to run the country, its politics are still amateur and a lot of work has to be done, says Raed Jarrar, a blogger and anti-war activist. But, he believes, its Iraqis who should do that work.

Agreed - whether the Iraquis are ready or not, it is their country and they have to run their own affairs. Aside from the rights and wrongs of the original invasion, the US (and others) should have left at the earliest opportunity. Any government installed during occupation is likely to be seen as a US puppet (even if this in incorrect). The US forces can only have delayed conflicts between ethnic and political factions and any interference from Iran. US forces won't have changed the final outcome by staying in Iraq.
