“Is it in Kyrgyz interests to have Russians and Americans on its territory?”

The question is whether it’s in Kyrgyzstan’s interests to have Russian and American militaries side-by-side and what made Bishkek let the US continue to use the Manas base, said former BBC journalist Marek Bekerman.
The question posed is I take it - Is the decison of the Kyrgyzh Government a sound one? Assuming that Nato forces using this "transit facility" are prevented from spying on Russia and other CIS States from the aircraft so utilised to aid the colonisation of Afghanistan by USA-based modern Imperial Capitalism then where is the harm? Is that the gist of this premise? It begs the question - why is this premise phrased as it is? Is it not obvious to all and sundry that Russia Mongolia China Uzbekistan Kazakhstan and Iran must have given approvals for this Nato backed force to overfly their territories? Have they all been fooled by the offer of iron pyrites otherwise known as "fools' gold"?? For the whole World's sake - Let;s hope not!! //snowyone.
With forces from both countries present, the government of Kyrgyzstan is indicating that they want to be friends with both Russia and the USA but that neither should consider Kyrgyzstan as "theirs", in terms of alleigance. Also, they get cash from the USA - very useful in these harsh economic times. For snowyone above, I think you will find that the USA requested overflight permission from certain countries (especially Russia) - and this was granted.
Get educated ,this is just a transit camp for the afghan war.russia and america have the same terrorist enemies.ie the muslim fanatics.

There are absolutely no issues that either Russia or Kyrgyzstan should be worried about here. There is money to be made, this money comes from the US and the US is kept bleeding in Afghanistan, and paying for the privilege. I am sure the contract will almost certainly make it a commercial, rather than military operation, so this will even further develop the airport for Kyrgyzstan. I love it when people pay for their mistakes, and when they are in a hole, give them a shovel, So that they can keep digging!
