Barack Obama promised change, but some say he sold out on his promises. He called for a new start, but critics insist he is still flirting with old policies. The US President is marking his first 100 days in office.

Congratulations are something that Barack Obama has become quite familiar with as he currently rides high on opinion polls. Analysts credit this with great communication skills and active use of the Internet to gain support for some of his policies and bills.

This is because, analysts say, that his team is using the same political tactics that got Barack Obama into the White House in the first place, so it should come as no surprise that he is doing so well among many Americans.

As president, however, Barack Obama is facing the greatest challenges: a global economic crisis; and two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the former he hopes to end and the latter he plans on escalating.

After the 100 days in office the new president’s honeymoon with power is over, but for some Americans it was never that sweet. Radio host Alex Jones states that Barack Obama is attacking free speech in the US:

“Obama is setting up a Nazi, Soviet or Maoist style state in the country to make us wake up one day in the novel 1984. He is supporting all those different people in the government that do not believe in free speech and net neutrality. They are also calling on restrictions of freedoms,” accuses Jones.

Alex Jones speech full version.

There are not going to be any major events to celebrate the 100th day in the Oval Office, but Barack Obama will hold a news conference this evening. He will likely speak about what he has accomplished in the past several months and he will almost certainly address issues moving forward when it comes to the economy, two wars and world affairs in general.

Though the media in the US is readily anticipating this 100-days-in-office anniversary, many people will agree that those 100 days is not an adequate amount of time to judge how well the president is doing his job.

Obama is a joke, so there is no wonder that he failed already, now we have 4 years of a failure on our hands. Oh well, Americans got what they asked for.
