President Obama buried the Middle East peace process with his Cairo speech. He willed the ends 'a settlement freeze' but had no means at his disposal to achieve it. And he has created none since. Instead with constant appeals to the Israeli government that are ignored Obama looks weak. Except to those who believe its all an act and he actually supports the Israeli annexation of East Jerusalem and the West Bank. In either case he has encouraged the hope in every enemy of the government of the USA that further acts of spectacular ineptitude on the part of the Obama regime may follow.

Obama has learned the hard way that, just like the Queen of England, his role of leader/head of State is mostly symbolic. Presidents come and go but the real commanders continue to pull the strings of their puppets from behind firmly closed curtains. George Bush (jnr) was perhaps the most obvious example of this ever. The guy could barely organise and manage himself, only the naeive or foolish actually believed he was the man calling all the shots. Obama, as an educated an intelligent man, may have actually believed that he could make a difference, unfortunately for us all this has proved not to be the case. I predict that Obama will be remembered as the most dissapointing US President in history, not because he was a 'bad' President, but because he could not meet the almost superhuman expectations that people seemed to have of him during his election campaign.
