Israel: apartheid state or only democracy of the Middle East?

Israel’s borders are those of 1947, and because it is a bi-national state it needs the formation of a unitary state, like Belgium. This is the view of academic and human rights activist Professor Uri Davis.

In June 1967, the Israel military attacked the USS Liberty. A survivor of that attack was onboard the Gaza aid flotilla and has survived yet again to tell the story.

Joe Meadors is a pro-Palestinian activist and a survivor of the 1967 Israeli attack on the USS Liberty. That attack by the Israeli Air Force killed 34 Americans. Meadors was onboard one of the Gaza aid flotilla ships.

They [Israeli military] are very inept, to tell you the truth,” said Meadors.

Israeli forces were unable to sink an unarmed US Naval ship and were unable to adequately engage the Turkish liner.

It was an illegal attack. We were on the high seas conducting legal activities. They admitted that they closed the area for military purposes but they, we tried to find out the boundaries of that area and they wouldn’t tell us,” said Meadors.

Meadors said that they violated international waters both in the recent flotilla attack and in 1967 at the attack of the USS Liberty, stating that Israel also violated international law by using unmarked aircraft.

They’re just a bunch of rag-tag people who think they can do no wrong. Every time they speak they say they don’t break any laws, they always abide by international laws. But, they break them with impunity and the US Government is not going to hold them accountable, nobody is,” said Meadors.

Meadors expects an investigation will show that Israel violated international law and should be held accountable for its actions. He holds the same hope for the USS Liberty case, which has yet to be settled.

We filed a war crimes report with the Department of Defense in 2005. They claim they already investigated the allegation we made, but they can’t show us where they have,” said Meadors.

Meadors said that Israel was the aggressor in the flotilla attack and that the only story being portrayed is Israel’s version, because the Israeli forces confiscated all video and recording equipment from the flotilla passengers.

Most of the money AIPAC is spending in America is either used to bribe the politicians or brainwash the American people. RT had an excellent presentation last month of how American movies portray the Arabs in the most vile and disgusting manner possible. The pro-Israeli brainwashing of the American people has been more effective than Pavlov's training of his dogs to salivate at the ring of a bell.

Jim: "Countless millions are paid to, lets just say various influential people, in order to ensure that a pro Israeli stance is maintained by the US administration." Very true. The American people naively believe that their democratic process ensures competent leadership for the country, but they are seriously mistaken in this foolish belief. America will eventually be destroyed not by a foreign military invasion, but by their own sordid political system. American political system, called "democracy" ensures that only scoundrels get elected. A decent patriotic American who refused to be bribed or threatened by AIPAC (Israeli lobby) will be torn apart before his campaign can even get started. Israel has literally put a yoke around the necks of the American people to ensure that they continue annually paying billions of dollars in tribute to Israel. The Russians were finally able to rip the Mongol yoke off their necks after 200 years; however, I doubt that the American people have the courage to do the same with the Israeli yoke.

Why is everyone blaming Israel for the USS Liberty incidence? After all it takes two to tango. The Event was a false flag operation that backfired. The Israel independent investigation which they seem to love so much, claimed it was mistaken identity with an egyptian ship the El Quseir despite it was of different shape and tonnage. Why is it that I like many others think it was a false flag operation? Well for they following facts 1. the ship was clearly marked, Its military signals were jammed showing that the Israelis clearly knew what it was. One of the pilots involved claimed later that he clearly identified it and reported back.but was still ordered to proceed with the attack. 2. on two occasions, the nearby US fleet scrambled its fighters to assist and were ordered back by the white house itself. 3.Medals wear issued to its crew in secret and not in a pubic ceremony at the white house. The IDF were also by some reports attacking sailors in the water which is a war crime on its own.Clearly no survivors were intended But what was the aim? It is generally believed that it was to bring the USA into the war on the side of Israel openly by claiming it was the Egyptians that attacked and sank the ship. In one documentary I saw, planes on the US fleet in the area were armed with nuclear bombs ready to retaliate against Egypt. In one report, the attack stopped only when a soviet spy trawler came along side and started filming the attack. If true, it would be ironic that the US sailors were saved by the Soviets from an American ally Israel
