We are stepping step by step towards international equality and inclusiveness. Russia is leading in this effort, our timing is perfect. There is no doubt that the UN is the only option to represent a world body of consensus, yes it is not working as it should, but we had better improve it, rather than trying to build again from scratch. There are many discussions to have, as to how to make it a fairer, more democratic but potent organization, rather than an abused, unfair and impotent one as it is today. The middle east can act as a test case, when will we see Iran's rights protected as equally as other rights against Iran, When will we see UN resolutions enforced against Israel, when will we see nuclear inspectors in Israel. When will we see the UN taking responsibility with bodies on the ground to prevent the establishment and growth of terrorism, when will we see the Palestinians plight ended. When will we see the UN openly speaking out against US illegal invasions, rape and torture., rather than being a holiday destination for shopping for diplomats. There is a huge distance to travel to transform the UN. But one thing is certain, the UN will never be effective until it represents fairness at its core, when it acts without prejudice in an expeditious and efficient manner. Until then it will just remain a political tool of the major powers, including us! Maybe locating the UN headquarters in the most dangerous war torn place, with compulsory attendance, would be the fastest way to fix things!

FROM Ibarruri in Lagos Nigeria, Thanks a million , dear Patriot , 'Count cash' for your Lucid comments . I am so happy today to hear about the latest evaluations by the Russian president of the world order and the continuing tradition of profering solutions to key problems from a selfless and truly humanist conviction . As was the case by the Soviet predessessors , Russia upholds the historical maturity and sense of responsibilty over conflicts , nuclear weapons, not minding itself being a nuclear state, international cooperation and the environment. In contrast, the west are not thinking atall in earnest about these issues with an honest attitude but only from the stand point of availing themselves of maximum propaganda advantage and exercabating the use of force mentality on all cases . Mankind supports the termination of the Arms race, the enthronement of a just order and the harnessing of science for the benefit of man and the environment. Thats the basic impact Medvedev's position has on the social andpolitical situation at the U. N.
