With all the brilliant minds that Russia possesses, political analysis there is practically non-existent. THis is really a weakness that the Russians need to address. The author of this piece is trying to find a cat in a dark room, too bad the cat is not there. Meanwhile, it is obvious why Obama is so generous and it has nothing to do with generosity: 1. Russia's firm stance on the issue - Obama can't ignore that 2. Russia allowing US transports to Afganistan through its territory - Obama has to reciprocate 3. But most importantly, US does NOT have the money to continue this insane project!!!! And the bonus! Even though it's nothing of his back, it helps Obama keep his campaign promises and look good in front of the world.
