They say a picture can say a thousand words. Look at this caption: Netanyahu is looking at the media camera and the Russian President is looking at Netanyahu! I think we can say that this caption shows a class case of Crosstalk and cross purpose: Netanyahu will never agree to a peaceful settlement to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. The Russian President can be fooled in and he may agree to the weakening Russia's stance on the ME.

I do not see any change in Russia's approach to Iran. There is no change in the demand for peacefull solution. The sanctions advocated here have nothing to do with the nuclear capability in Iran. All previous rounds of UN sanctions were clear and purposefull. They are focused on preventing the development of nuclear weapons, and this is still the only purpose for the UN Security Council's work, as well as the technical engagement by IAEA. Russian statements on the issue of Iranian flip-flop are appropriate. The expectations of progress on the fuel-swap were hightened, then deflated, following Iran's change of heart. In that light, Russian's expectations, and "cannot wait forever", are on target, and understood. The problem is, many in the west are trying to read more into these statements. That is their problem. Russia has not changed policy on nuclear power, not on deliver of defensive weapons to Iran, or any other policy of consequence, including economic cooperation. What has changed is this push for "crippling sanctions", the term coined by Hillary Clinton, notorious for her verbal exaggerations. If US plans to go ahead with unilateral sanctions, that will in turn hurt all companies doing business in Iran -- that is in many ways declaration of war. In US people are so naive, and do not see how Senate has hijacked US foreign policy, with Clinton and her enablers in Senate --- like Senator Lieberman --- controlling too many strings. Other countries will have to take this into advisement, and consequences evaluated. Israel's role in this matter is murky, at best.

this same Netanyahu will stuff Georgia with military hardware to fight Russia, and then making problems about the Russian sale of a defensive s-300 system to Iran ?? Netanyahu can only have a problem with the s-300 when he has plans of attack.

Iranians have the right for peaceful nuclear development and the Palestinians have the right to their homeland. Why should the World make concession to the basic principles of international conduct? They sound like a spoiled little child who is constantly crying for attention.

During WW11 A Jewish Brigade fought alongside the British Forces against the Germans. They were called The Palestinian Brigade. Arabs were never called Palestinians and fought with the Germans against the British and Russian Forces. Lest We Forget.
