Why sanctions against North Korea ? North Korea has the right to Test Nuclear weapons for it's independance. No-one says anything when American/Pakistany forces KILL Women and Children, On the: Afgan/Pakistan border, how many Women and Childredn have: Americano/Pakistan Forces KILLED ? There's NO PROOF, that the Attacks on the W.T.C. came from Camps in Afganistan, the Pilots were ALL trained in America. Kind Regards Joel Albin

Good point Joel! It is Americans that should be sanctioned. What about Israel? It may be nuclear with impunity just because Jews are allies of America. America would veto any resolution against Israel. Therefore, go N. Korea - don't give up! A positive aspect in this crisis is that N. Korean ballistic missiles are now capable to fly all across Pacific and to rich US territory. Yankees should keep that in their minds.

I agree with the N Korea angle of any country being equally allowed to discover nuclear possibilities. The bigger problem is that the world, as one should be engaged in non-nuclear proliferation talks. As for the extended remarks about Afghanistan and Pakistan; war is hell, and should be avoided at any cost. To disarm the entire world of nuclear capabilities sends a positive message for world peace.

This is hypocracy, the USA and its allies have an enormous stockpile of nuclear weapons which they use to good effect to control other countries that is why they oppose in particular Iran and North Korea having them. If non-proliferation is their real aim all they have to do is get rid of their own. North Korea nor Iran will stand being bullied by the USA Joel, It's now well known that the 757 which was supposed to have crashed into the Pentagon couldn't possibly have done so. The FDR recorded flight 77 at over 200 feet 3 seconds before recorded impact. This means that the aircraft would break up by G forces before it reached the Pentagon.

Focusing on America's faults sidesteps and avoids more important issues. Perfection is a relative thing, very few people would prefer to see a world dominated by the USSR of the past or even of today's Chinese government. One thing that shouldn't be overlooked is an honest comparison of the freedoms and living standards represented by the two Koreas today. I lived in Vietnam for almost one year in 2002 and it was clearly evident that most people there felt they had backed the wrong side in its former conflict. To be fair about the nightmare in Iraq--most of the butchery has been commited by Shia against Sunni and vice versa. There is not one sane person, and only a few insane (as shown by the commentators here), that actually wish for a nuclear armed North Korea and the proliferation nightmare it would present, not China, not Russia, maybe not even the Devil. To all of the cheerleaders for the Dear Leader--go there, put on your little lapel pin with his picture, worship at his alter in Pyongyang, take your pitchfork, live like most people there do, and quickly die of starvation, so that we don't have to listen you anymore.
