In some Southern Florida counties, the same as in some Texan and Californian counties, the melting pot is not an step to become Anglos but an step to become Latinos. So, there are thousands of Haitians, Brazilians and even Anglos who are being assimilated by the Latino majority. We can say that they are leaving to be Americans to become something else, a different culture and History from that which started in America with the "Mayflower" and the 1776 Declaration of Independence. Latinos don´t feel attached by any of them as the Founding Fathers of America were Anglos.

Many of the Latino population in Florida are legal immigrants, at least when I lived in USA.. They mostly came from Cuba, Ecuador, and other South American states. A friend of mine said few years ago they were setting up check points on the roads and asking for ID's. I think they are mixing the story between illegal immigrants, immigrants, and racism. The Mexican illegal immigration is just that illegal. It is not the fault only of those who cross the border, but of both governments of US and Mexico. The racism is being played on both sides. However, this is affecting the Latino population as a whole who have NOTHING to do with these problems. Enrique is right about them not having a more emotional attachment to the founding fathers, yet they chose America to live due to ideals of good job, a home, and a place to raise family. This conflict is turning into racism, gangs, and racists...

I think that RT reporting of this story is lacking in context. The United States is a nation founded on the principle of racial order. Take a look at the original language in the U.S. constitution. In there, a citizen was explicitly defined as white Anglo Saxon. In WWII, even as thousands of black soldiers were fighting for the liberation of Europe against the Third Reich, in more than half of the states in the United States, blacks could not enter public properties including recreation facilities used by whites. As late as 1965, legally sanctioned racial segregation was the law of land in more than half of states in the U.S. Hitler’s model for racial order and 1000 years of the Third Reich was modelled after the 1492 conquest of the Americas and 1000 years rule of The Third was ideology constituted in the model of the 1492 racial order reduced the local population but small portions of the subjugated population of “inferior races” for their exploitable labour. Thus, Hitler’s Lebensraum is similar to colonial theory of Manifest Destiny. Hitler’s racial theory drew from British and American pseudo-scientific racial imperatives of social Darwinism,racial conquest and racial domination. Thus, the laws that anybody with a drop of black blood has no right to citizenship or property were enacted in 1670s in the United States but similar laws only came to effects against Jews in in 1930s Germany under the terrorist rule of the Third Reich. A reported published few days ago shows that whites in the United States have 5x more chances to succeed in their careers and own homes and other assets than black Americans. When the economy is booming, it is possible to mask the foundations of racial order in the United States but in times of economic uncertainty, thinly masked racist feelings come out oozing into the public airwaves and in this case the public high ways.
