No Pentagon plans for Georgian base

The United States won't put military bases or elements of its antimissile system in Georgia but it will help the country integrate into NATO, a senior US official said on a visit to Tbilisi.










Never say never. Situations change rapidly. Alliances shift and powers rise and fall. All countries normally do what they perceive as being in their national interest. Treaties come and go and often are just politically motivated by those currently in power. Leaders often do what is politically expedient regardless of long term consequences. If in doubt, just ask any American Indian.
