The answer is YES. The Arabs and Persians have been enemies for thousands of years. And you know how things tend to "hang on" in certain parts of the world.

PR101, The U.A.E. are a former British colony so that answers why they want an attack against Iran. After all, Iran has not invaded any neighbor but was invaded by Iraq and Iraq had the support of both the U.S. and France...So it is easy to understand why Iran feels they are under siege. They are afraid and have the right to defend themselves. Israel has dozens of nuclear weapons and the support of the U.S with its thousands of nuclear heads, so they don´t anything to fear. It is Iran the one under real threat as it holds the third largest oil reserves in the World. Iraq holds the 4th oil reserves and now is a U.S. colony which spends $billions buying U.S. weapons when it used to buy Russian weapons. So Russia has to fullfil its contract with Iran, which is the weak part in that conflict. That way we will see how accurate is the S-300 missile defesne system which also protects Moscow and Beijing. If a next American-Israeli strike against Iran demonstrates that the S-300 shield works, that will mean more business for its developers the same way as the Patriot system became famous during the Gulf War....The contract was signed before the present sanctions and by then selling defensive weapons was not forbidden.

Enrique Your comment is correct. In addition, I do think that most Arab states today ,with few exceptions, are still under indirect rule of the U.S/ to less extent, the UK. Of course, Arab states have funded Iraq war against Iran. So they are full of fear and moral guilt.

Israel was formed to destabilize the middle-east.It is Israel which has been attacking the Arab nations with impunity and killing thousands of Palestinians,Lebanese,Jordanians,Syrians etc at the drop of a hat.But Iran has been asking the Arab states to unite and teach Israel a good lesson. It is more than willing to share its technology in making cars, planes, medicine etc with the Arab nations. And the opinion of the common Arab is supportive of Iran.So all I can say is this:Mr.Othaiba is the modern day Marwan Bin Hakam. The enemity Shias and Sunnis was caused only because of the issue of Caliphate(It wasn't given to Hazrath Ali(RA),(but then he got it later)).And it has been almost 1600 years since.Definitely this enemity can be overcome and all muslims must unite for good.

Many Middle Eastern countries were under British rule for a while, including Iran, Iraq, Palestine, UAE and Saudi Arabia. However, that has little to do with the current situation, which has more to do with Arab vs Persian and Sunni vs Shia. Whilst Iran has not directly attacked other countries, they routinely train and supply proxies, such as Hesbollah in Lebanon and rebels in Yemen. Whilst the USA and others are thinking of UN resolutions, Israel and other states in the region are probably contemplating direct action and if recent history is anything to go by, they will act when they see fit, not when the USA, UN or others "give permission".

JG The U.S and British are in fact involved in instigating new conflicts between Sunni and Shia Muslims in the Arabia Peninsula. Recently, a cab driver from Yemen told me how he received a full scholarship to study in the West and that money was paid by the Saudi government. Sadly, he used up the money without getting an education! But this story is significant because Saudi Arabia is also using economic power to exacerbate internal conflict within Yemen society along the lines of Shia-Sunni axis. Thus man’s pathetic claim that Arab regimes “cannot live with nuclear Iran” shows U.S British friendly corrupt Arab regimes have been used as conduit to start or exacerbate Shia-Sunni conflict in the Arab world. The Muslim world has already moved from the Arab world. Today, none of the respectable and economically strong Muslim nations is located in the Arab lands. The Oil rich Arab countries- such as United Arab emirates- are today know for money-laundering than playing any significant role in global politics. Even those of us who do not wish to see Iran become a nuclear country, despise impotent and pathetic Arab regimes.

Seyed Suhail Khalid! You as all arabs are right about Israel but wrong about Iran!! I quote Yasin Ramazan, Saddam's vice: " Iran has never been with the Arabs, Iran has always been with Israel, both during monarchy and Islamic Republic!!" He was flying to Tehran to ask them to TALK to the Americans not to attack Iraq just before the invasion!! Well don't you suspect anything?? First of all Iran talking to America???!!?? Secondly, the Iranian government does not protest about his comments about Iran - Israel relations because what he said was true!! In fact Israel contributed a lot in bringing Islam to power in Iran. For more on that you can read Treacherous Alliance by Trita Parsi!! Also The Arms Bazzar by Anthony Sampson!! How can Iran who has a Jewish oresident and 3 other high ranking politicians in it's government ask the Arabs to unite against Israel!! Open your eyes, don't be fooled by 250 millions that the Iranian government gives to Hamas which was created by Israel, go and find out how much they give to Israel!! It is not about Shia- sunni, we ( Iranians) had forgotten about religion all together but the Zionists brought it back. They believe it is the best tool to rule the stupid masses!! As long as we are naive we will be used and abused!!! What this UAE foreign minister says is what his masters in the White House and Telaviv have asked him to say, exactly as Ahmadinezhad is doing. There is no need for a nuclear Iran and there is no war between Shia and sunnies but the US, British and Israeli weapon industries need conflicts you see, otherwise they have to shut down!!! If there was no Iran or extremist Islam like Bin Laden how could they sell so much weapons to Arabs???????

Ormoz your claims are pathetic, You quote from Saddam's vice that Iran support's Israel? You're much worse than this UAE traitor. You out together some unrelated nonsenses that means nothing hoping nobody understand and just believe them. I read your other comments no different than this one. Quoting and referencing from known traitors to Iran and Islam hoping nobody know and just accept your worthless lies. We Iranians did not forgot about religion. Our religion kept us safe against Saddam, MKO, US and traitors like you. You're no Iranian. All your claims are shameful and baseless. Get a real job!!
