The thought of nuclear weapons in the hands of terrorists would give most politicians nightmares, but it is not keeping regular people on the street awake at night who are too used to fear mongering.

Nuclear terrorism is something to consider, but difficult to eliminate, in our actual crazy World. The most dangerous situation will be if some idiots will give atomic weapons to mentally sick politicians like Saakashvili. We never exactly knew how Israel obtained her nuclear arsenal. A desperate America, failing in her purpose of World domination is capable of everything. Compared to Mr Medvedev, I do not trust the creeps from the Pentagone, the MIC, those nuts from Wall-Street and their puppet: the Great Guy Obama. That is why in other topics, I suggested some radical changes. The ash's cloud from Iceland is teaching and remaining us something: WE ARE INSIGNIFICANT. There is no great man or woman; just a specie who try to avoid extinction. Let us be a little smarter and most of all careful. The present, overall mankind political and economical situation, under th US leadership must be revised. The ash from the volcano came at an appropriate time. The president of Poland was not, what we may call a friend of Russia, unless he was a very good comedian who made a lot of money for buying F-16 US warplanes and missiles to set at Russia's doors' steps. His accidental death is sad, like any other death. Strangely, the cloud forbid to all his western friends to come to his "grandiose" funeral. This is an insult for such a devoted catholic country; or it could be that God is getting sick of all that needless hypocrisy. JCM

We all already face nuclear terrorism. The USA has publically stated that it is now prepared to use its nuclear weapons against non-nuclear countries / enemies, and that the threshold for thier use is now lower than ever. We also have Israel with its massive (for the size of the country) and illegal nuclear weapons stockpile - who are itching to take a few shots at Iran (when they are not pushing the USA to do thier dirty work). We must never forgot that some in Israel had already used the threat of nuclear terrorism against its neighbours. Does anyone remember the 'Samson option'? Also, the revised Samson Option if the existance of Israel was threatened? This is where Israeli nuclear retaliation would be expanded to take in some European cities too. Strange how this terrible issue (still supported by some) no longer gets reported.

Meslin, In 1997, the Polish government started looking for a replacement for its ageing fleet of MiG-21 and Su-22 aircraft. Polish government ( Democratic Left Alliance) decided in 2002 to buy new fighter aircraft (3,5 billion $). The major element in this deal was an offset agreement between Lockheed-Martin and the Polish government, which sees an amount of up to $9 billion return in the Polish economy. Mr L.Kaczynski in 2002 was Mayor of Warsaw ( right-wing). He had nothing to do with F-16. The Polish military is in the middle of a long term modernization programme. They are producing and buying everythng- from corvettes to aircraft. Rapid modernization is underway, replacing Soviet equipment with modern western weapons. I think that Soviet/Russian equipment is nowadays really unpopular in Poland and in other Central European countries. Polish Vip Airliners Tu-154 and Jak's-40 - ...they will be replaced with modern aircraft ( Airbus,Boeing or Embraer). BTW. The volcanic eruption and subsequent air travel issues caused many world leaders to miss the funeral, which is understandable. Canada's Prime Minister had to cancel the trip, instead he went to Mass and spoke eloquently about the Polish President, the Polish people and their loss.....and Obama was playing golf. I think he disrespects Poland.

Maple leaf Please, explain that agreement between Lockheed and the Polish government. All military transactions are full of unknown deals. It is no different in the USA, Canada or France. It is called commissions, retro-commissions etc. Sometime it even turns sour. Example: When France sold Frigate-military-ships to Taïwan, a dozen persons died, plus 15 other French DCN' employee in a Pakistani bus blow-up retaliation 'attempt. The judge: Eva Joly in charge of that dossier had to run away to Norway for not being killed. In France, we also had what was called our Angola-gate and several other scandals. Poland and America in that respect are no white "dove" and most ex-Warsaw pact' politicians are just corrupt prostitutes playing bot sides of the coin Russia-USA. This can end-up being a very dangerous game. Just read one of my other comments on that subject. Sorry Future Generations... Jean-Claude Meslin In a World where everything can be bought, there seems to be no limit to greed and abuse of peoples. That is why we must require to have a nuclear free World; but not the way the already nuclear-countries want it...
