Go to YouTube and search for "gang stalking", "Cointelpro", "targeted individuals", "Monarch II (pt twelve)", "tyrannical oppression", etc. to get some idea of what's going on in the US, where police departments have organized KKK and biker gangs using free-flowing federal dollars to intimidate and harrass citizens. In the US, you don't use such terms as dissidents or protestors as they do in other countries. In todays America, you are either an informant, criminal or terrorist. They literally move into homes, apartments and businesses around you for 24/7 survellance and harrassment. They pose suggestions thru your friends to get you to do something illegal so they can lock you up. You have to be impressed by a system that can devote such resources on every dissident for years, following them from community to community, state to state and even overseas.

Obama as a Wall Street corporate lackey is becoming clearer and clearer everyday. This is smoke screen. The real target of this most elaborate militarization of the United States homeland is the American people. This move meant to prevent uprising against corporate thieves than preventing ‘home grown terrorists’. The United States is turning into a police state the world has not seen since the rise of the Third Reich. Unlike the Third Reich, the U.S corporate-military-prison-mercenary privatized security state, does not offer full employment to ordinary people. Suppression and brute force will be used to suppress the America people. Hopefully, because of its use of primarily brute force and fear, the U.S empire will fail very soon.

I love how 'progressive' journalists always try to make anything they don't like a creation of the Republicans, despite ALL evidence to the contrary. The current Administration sets ALL US policy - they control the Presidency, The House , and the Senate. They set all Agency policies AND they determine HOW these policies are implemented. The Republicans have no power to stop or influence any of this, although I have heard time and again from Democrats how 'the Republicans won't let President Obama keep his promises - not any of them!' This is simply unhappy people refusing to criticize their own side. Fact is, if Obama is not keeping his promises then it's because HE doesn't WANT to keep them, and if you really don't like what you see, it is POINTLESS to reference Bush and the Republicans - only your Democratic idols are empowered to fulfill their own empty promises. Please hold THEIR feet to the fire.

Lawrence... Open your eyes, there is a difference between a phony  and real terrorist...  What we have today is a copy cat of the WW scenarios: Germans excuse to attack Poland after Germans were killed at the border... the sinking of passenger boat, going and warned about infested germans Sub, Pearl Harbour... awaiting to happen... etc... we can go for ever in History, but most likely to be found on the European stages, from the Crusades to Napoleon inferiority complex feeding on Russia. So the World has to endure the maturity of the Us of A today, to reach this upper civilized entity, tired of useless killing of innocent mankind for profits, and been kind to the humanity. When You claim (...) to be the most powerfull country in the world, you don't need to kill for it, just show your real muscle ( enhanced and Testarron not allowed).

Too many writers overlook US war history of the past 100 years or so.  Too often we have waged war on other countries for corporate interests.  We are still doing it.  Afghanistan was essentail for the completion of an oil pipeline.  Why are such facts ignored.  We have killed hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians in the Middle East now and reduced nations to rubble.

Meanwhile, back at home, women are being imprisoned for having miscarriages.  A young black man is threatened with up to 8 years in prison for pulling a silly prank bearing no resemblance to terrorism.  Troy Davis was just executed in Georgia with the full support of the Supreme Court, despite appeals from Jimmy Carter, Desmond Tutu and the Pope for clemency.

None of this is about what it appears to be about. The war on terror has had other purposes from the very start.  Oil may be but one of them, but given the brutal torture and widespread horror we have cast over these countries, I can't help but believe that pure oppression and intimidation are not the chief secondary purposes.

The wording of the first Patriot Act was based on Hitler's night and fog decree.  The legislation that recently allowed them to create the Super Congress was based on Hitler's enabling act, I have read.  These are not accidents.  The Western elite have had a love affair with fascism for at least 100 years.  They are becoming extremely dangerous.  We need to call a spade a spade.  The US is quickly becoming a true fascist nation and our national defense has nothing to do with any of it.
