A quick bite at a burger joint with Barack Obama was the low-key highlight of Dmitry Medvedev's tour of the US this week.
President Obama was showing President Medvedev how the average American lives: burgers and beer. During the Nuclear Summit, President Medvedev attended a rock concert at George Washington University. We Washington area residents welcome President Medvedev to our social life! Gorbachev also liked our city.
Pres. Medvedev and P. M. Putin have proven to be an unbeatable team of leaders. They have gotten Russia on the move once again and there is no limits as to what the two are capable of accomplishing worldwide. The Russian people are indeed very lucky to have such professional and capable leaders.
Both Obama and Medvedev are way too naive and inexperienced in economy, as the best way to boost economy is by the means of war. George was very good in that strategy for he was making wars as on the assembly line. What American president should do (to improve the US economy) is working on existing wars to escalate yet more and making some new wars. For that would help the US military industrial sector to make much more jobs for the american people. As general Paton has once been quoted saying to his soldiers:"You guys, do not push to much to score the final victory, as war helps economy". I mean, eating burgers all around can only produce peace, stability and mutual trust which is just like "sailing with no wind" for economy. Bring back Bush (the G. W.) and Putin!!!

This is good attempt at a damage control! We accept that. However, our problem has always been at the level of semiotic representation of the meeting of President Medvedev and President Obama. The fact this piece used image of the two men looking “presidential” but looking friendly, is what should have been in the original meeting. This was an official state visit and Obama acted cheap to hold the meeting at a greasy burger joint. At last me and for others, we do not doubt that serious issues were discussed by the two leaders. Only thing we question is that setting is that the setting was a carefully staged event. As this being good for business, the U.S has a cultural of business corruption and Russia has also culture of business that is mired with corruption. For the reasons already stated, the meeting of President Medvedev and Obama over greasy burger seemed contrived. It is highly doubtful that the President of Russia and the President of the U.S discussed important issue at a cramped space where people can easily hear their translated conversation! So, nothing serious has been discussed over this staged photo-op over greasy burger happy meal..
