billionaire's news media sells idea October 29, 2009, 22:35 quote

All the American news media that created Obama and Obama worship also presented him as the world's savior and the world's prince of peace. This is a big scam and probably has shady characters pulling the media strings to present him in that light. American news media lost it's way long ago but it never got this bad before. They are greasing the skids and America is sliding fast. Where did all of America"s real leaders go. We are suffering a leadership failure.

The USA is a militaristic state. The problem that President Obama has is that not only the economic basis of the USA relies on arms but that the society itself, after many years of an imperialist mentality, has created an aesthetics of violence. In my opinion, this is an issue which is an extremely important one and I am afraid I am not optimistic about the President's ability to initiate change.

No matter how they dress it up, the US has a military and economic empire, arguably the largest empire the world has ever seen - beating both the British empire and the Roman empires in influence, reach, and power. Even if a country is not directly and physically 'occupied' by the US - sorry - I mean has 'invited' them to establish bases - I don't think that there is a major government anywhere in the world that is not influenced either economically or militarily by the US. Holdouts such as Iran, and Russia to an extent, are feeling the encirclement and gradual encroachment. Even China, the last major Communist country, has been almost hamstrung by the sheer weight of its US dollar based 'quasi-capitalist' investments. I have often wondered just how the US can afford to maintain this global military and economic empire (perhaps someone can enlighten me?), but as history has shown, eventually, all empires fall, some gracefully but usually dramatically and with some pain. How long will the US empire live? decades? centuries? I don't know, but at the moment it is a US with Obama at the helm that is steering the course of global geopolitics.

I sympathies with the two previous comments; leadership in several countries is very sad (example: my own France with that Sarkonaparte) As I explained, right from the beginning Obama was the perfect pawn to cover-up the US financial "fiasco". His election was a well planned hollywoodian super-production, which I called in many comments to RTTV: the Obama-Circus-show. It went on a Worldwide tour and everybody applauded (including Russia). The ultimate consecration was the Nobel peace price given by a capitalist institution (What a joke). Sorry Future Generations: I can explain but nobody does anything about it ! Best Regards...Jean-Claude Meslin

I know that our media has been failing us. I just discovered this website. What America needs now is news exactly like this, news that is the truth. Other countries can't blame the people for this. The corruption level in our goverment dates back many of years along with the goverment. JFK was killed for almost reveling this as plee'ed in his last speech. I DONT KNOW WHY THERE ARENT ANY AMERICANS HERE.......

Having just witnessed Obamas 'right hand woman' Clinton (on live TV from Israel) clearly backtracking on the US opposition to continued expansion of Israeli 'settlements', I no longer belive that Obama is serious about peace in the middle east. Either that or Obama is not able to, or not willing to, pull all the levers he has at his disposal. Also, using thinly veiled threats with Iran to get them to agree to what the US has already decided is not the sort of diplomacy that I would expect from a clearly intelligent and educated leader. The British used to do this in their days of empire - either cave in and agree with us now, or hold out and we will send in the gunboats and show you the power of our machine guns - in which event you will be made to agree with us. It appears that despite whatever good intentions Obama may have had, he has allowed himself to be, or has been pushed, down the old administrations foreign policy road. Very, Very, dissapointing.
