A new proposal to reform the American healthcare system could see a five per cent tax on plastic surgery. Can this measure really help Obama’s vision become a reality?

This proposal has already been dubbed “the bo-tax”.

“They are going to accept it because they need the money,” believes Brent Budowsky, columnist from The Hill.

“And so they are looking for things to tax that they haven’t taxed yet, so they can cut some other taxes that are going to be placed on the middle class – those they want to avoid because of next year’s election”.

I agree with Artyom, instead of making themselves look like ---- they should get to know only media manipulate to make money. Natural is what men worth most, like myself. If they dont like you how you are, then why bother? There will be some good guy for you out there :) like myself :-D Id say make 50% tax on "beauty" surgery that is not needed. Make doctors do their work, not tend to overly rich individuals who deserve nothing.

Most American doctors should be taxed back to reality. For a single doctor to make millions of dollars by doing procedures that are not moral or necessary should be stopped in it's tracks. Doctors are suppose to practice medicine to help people, not just to get rich. This is where the American doctors and the American medical system went astray. Overall, their first committment is to the fast accumulation of dollars, not the welfare of the patient. Bring these greedy suckers back to reality. Some of them belong in prison.

Plastic surgeons should only be allowed to work on birth defects, burn victims, and other accident victims who are disfigured. These cosmetic surgeries are really disgusting when women enlarge their breasts and fatten their lips. Guess what women, you look absolutely ugly! Who does that now? Muscovites?! They splash them on MuzTV and MTV like they are in style and sexy. They look like ducks and implanted breasts are absolutely hideous. This is an imported value from Hollywood. Russian women, you are absolutely beautiful and you are ruining yourselves by looking like Picasso abstract art pieces which for a human being to look like is not attractive. As for those who really need it. I think it is wonderful. However, they need to stop these vanity surgeries. Obama shouldn't tax them, he should block vanity, but US society plays off of insecurities of individuals. They show fat free products, weight-loss programs, sell fattening GMO and preservative fill products, then make you feel bad by showing sexy bodies on TV. Magazine covers are always filled with beautiful fit people. Did you know they are always photoshopped or heavily edited by an editor? The people in Hollywood don't look like they do in movies and in magazines. They have professional make up artists paint their faces and photo editors make them look that way. They show this after they fatten you to make you feel bad. Then you buy into their programs and when they don't work you go to plastic surgery, is the usual thing now in the West.. Well, in a lot of ways it isn't your fault, it is a well thought out business that works. And in that sense taxing will make the US government enriched in your insecurities too.
