Protesters will go more violent! This is how conservative commentator Pat Buchanan sees the future of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
Over the weekend Pat Buchanan was part of a round-table discussion on “The McLaughlin Group” where he offered a dark prediction of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
“It’s going to end very, very badly with these folks in the winter and they’re not going to be getting publicity and they’re going to be acting up and acting badly like the worst of the demonstrators in the 60s," Buchanan said.
Buchanan, an ex-Republican presidential hopeful, went on to say the impact of the Occupy Wall Street movement on the presidential race would be “very damaging” to President Obama if he “gets too close to it.”
"They’re going to start fighting with the cops,” Buchanan thought.
Susan Ferrechio of the Washington Examiner concurred with Buchanan and believes the dropping temperatures would reflect a reduction in the demonstrators.
“There’s just not that many of them,” Ferrechio continued. “We’re talking you know a couple hundred people camped out here and there in Washington DC. So staying power – I guess in the media, we’ll probably keep mentioning them.”
Not everyone on the panel agreed with Buchanan and others believed law enforcement had already initiated the first acts of violence toward the peaceful protesters.
“There was one fight with the cops in Oakland. An Iraq war veteran was hit with a projectile in the head and is still in critical condition,” Eleanor Clift, a contributor to Newsweek and The Daily Beast said to Buchanan.
Clift believes the movement had “staying power” and wasn’t going anywhere.
Although the movement is more than a month old, acts of violence from the police toward the protesters have created a surge in participation.
The latest of those acts were protesters who were arrested in Denver, Austin and Portland.
“Don’t measure their success by their number,” said Clarence Page from the Chicago Tribune. He credits the Occupy Wall Street movement for already having changed the political conversations.
According to McLaughlin now would be the best time for a third-party candidate to “spawn.”

US student debt now in the trillionsStudent debt is crushing the American dream for millions of students and college graduates. For the first time in the US, total student debt has surpassed one trillion dollars. Americans now owe more in student loans than credit card debt. |

Police crack down on Occupy protests in Texas and Oregon (VIDEO)Dozens were arrested over the weekend after authorities decided to take harsh measures towards protesters in Austin and Portland. Occupy Wall Street |
American people should be educated to what these protests are all about! Mainstream media is doing a great job showing the OWS as clueless hippies wichh have no idea what they are protesting! Unfortunetly most of Americans believe main stream media and lies that being told there! I agree with Ben that few Americans care for these protests! In their eye protesters are just bunch of nuts disturbing the peace! Some one should step up and start explaining the reasons!!! Dont know how it can be done since there is no way to get the message acoss, but it has to be done to have a lasting effect with the population!!!
Buchahan has just voiced his "wish list." He'd like to see the protesters become violent, then the authoritys can crack down on them real hard and break up the protest. I never much cared for Buchahan anyway. So what ever he spews out is more or less nonsense

It is important to recognize Buchanan would not have said anything if he felt his openness might jeopardize the purposeful ruination of a natural Progressive direction this country might experience. This ruination is caused by the prolonged violence and bad press the hypnoscripted Occupy Movement will generate. The Occupy Movement is created by our intelligence community at the behest of our religious Conservative political ruling class. Buchanan’s openness tells us he knows that nothing can stop the purposeful death of a natural Progressive tendency in this country, and nothing can stop the preparation of the voters for agreeing to vote Conservative in the next elections. The Conservative religious political elite, using killing Secular Communism as the national security imperative, in the 60’s created a false and violent left that kept the Vietnam War and Conservatives in power. The sympathetic local police intelligence units, the CIA, and FBI do this work for the Conservative religious political elites. It is work opportunity, overtime, and advancement for their religious and Conservative personnel. This planned and sophisticated attack, using this top down created Occupy Movement, now appears to be an attack on Secular America and not just the new Progressive political tendency in America today. And Buchanan is crowing and gloating to his Conservative peers at how easy it is to swindle the Secular and Progressive political forces into ruination in less than a couple of years using this method. It has happened before and Buchanan talks about it.
