If we are to diliberatly fly in Iran (or any restricted airspace of another country), Especially recon drones, isnt that an definite act of war?

for sure, unless the US is telling the truth about losing the drone in the first place. But the US has lost 2 drones within a small time frame so maybe they are malfunctioning. I don't just my thoughts.

on the other hand...

the second drone crash could be a tactic of the US to say "see our drones are broke, we didn't mean to fly into your air space Afghanistan..."

If Iran can kindly acknowledge that those are stealth drones and stop shooting them down ;-)

The drones have one critical point of weakness ...  and no one talks about it.

Detecting Stealth December 15, 2011, 02:12 quote

Stealth airplanes, ships and drones can be detected by using strong and powerful phased array radars like those used to detect incoming ballistic missiles but you focus the same amount of power over theater range.

Then, instead of detecting the bounced back radar signal, you look for far infrared.

Stealth technology converts radar to infrared.

You send radio waves and you pick infrared. With signal processing and timing, you can sort the reflected infrared from background infrared sources.

Surfaces of stealth aircrafts, although engineered to deflect radar waves away from the radar do convert part of the radar signal into infrared and this is scattered from the surface, meaning it reflects infrared in every directions instead of away from the radar source.

In that case the Iranians will continue bring them down. Now the picture is clear: Russia will have to help Iran with air defenses. The imperialists have little respect for the UNSC. I wonder if the UNSC has the spine to bring the U.S to UNSC for this openly stated war of aggression. The Russians must take note. The UN is dead just like the League of Nations before it.

War mongering yanks. No wonder more and more people hate them every day. Such arrogance will hopefully bring them down sooner rather than later.

I can't wait until they lose number three.  They were caught with their pants down twice.  Sometimes you have to tell a child 50,000 times to put their slippers on... one day they will.
The US has made sooooo many enemies there will be no way it can reduce it's military budget.  Obamas doing as much damage as he can before his country gives him the boot... O U T the door...

You are all a bunch of fools. The Iranians didn't bring down the drone, it suffered malfunction and went down on its own! More Russian lies and propaganda, go figure! Surveillance of Iraninan nuke sites are important, unless Russia wants a nuclear armed Iran setting off an arms race that WOULD threaten Russian national security and interests. You people need an EDUCATION and to be able to think for yourselves!

By the way, Russian TU-95 Bear Bombers violate NATO airspace ALL THE TIME. Is that also an act of war, being that these bombers often carry nuclear payloads?

Vlad On the contrary the Russians almost never enter NATO airspaces. The Russians approach but never cross internationally recognized national airspaces. This is the beauty of Russia, be silent and act only when need be. The U.S, on the other hand, boasts so much and then is repeatedly humiliated.

Systems persist even when severe problems appear. A complete crash seems to be neccessary for a change in direction; from this perspective the ongoing may be a step in the positive direction.

Empires don't fall because of an outside force; they implode. Thus resisting them seems to be only extending their life.

The next time around, if we get the chance, we should design our society consciously, and not just let it happen.. by chance.

@Corey,

Yes, according to international law, it is an act ot war. The war has been declared.

Karl, they ROUTINELY violate Canadian and U.S. air space around Canada. You are nothing but a propaganda puppet for this network.

Only America could do this. Oh, how great it is to be part of the New Roman Empire. We do what we want and no one can stop us. RT fans, complain all you want, but you know it is true. Within hours/days of this post, a drone will strike in Pakistan/Afghanistan or wherever it wants, destroying our enemies and those who harbor them.
