Iran nukes are a problem – William Perry

If the US and Russia take the leadership in bringing nuclear weapons down, other nations will follow this lead, insists former US Secretary of Defense (1994-1997) William Perry.
Iran does not have any nukes - so there is no actual problem. By constantly working to demonise Iran and by manipulating world opinion through the mass media against Iran, the US and Israel have shown themselves to be warmongers.
No nuclear weapons for the whole Middle East, and problem solved! No nuclear weapons on Korean penninsula, and problem solved! And NO RIGHT BY NUCLEAR STATES, DECLARED OR NON-DECLARED, TO THREATEN A NON-NUCLEAR STATE. The whole beauty of the Iranian farce is the CLAIM that they are "just about" to produce nukes. So, until they "give up" nuclear "ambitions", there will be really no talks. And no talks, means increasing threats, economic or otherwise. This is a dangerous game. Even if Iran may not have wanted nuclear weapons, after all these years of threats, who knows? It almost looks like there is a NEED to have Iran declared nuclear, to justify bombing campaign, including testing of the deep penetrating bombs. Dangerous game for Isreael and its citizens.
No name: as Mr. Perry carefully expressed, the nuance here is the concern about Iran enriching nuclear fuel to create weapons-grade material. theodor: I agree that a verifiably disarmed Israel would remove one possible motivation for Iran to develop nuclear weapons or weapons-grade material. Practical matters include what response, and by what agency, is appropriate to a NPT treaty violation. A multilateral response, such as one dictated by the UN Security Council, seems the most preferable, should the issue come up. Iran's claim that it has a right to non-military enrichment activities is hard to disagree with, but their previously discovered clandestine activities calls their good faith intent to honor their treaty obligations into question. I wonder what would happen if they simply withdrew from the treaty altogether. Then they could presumably legally proceed to, well, proliferate nukes.
To prevent all the countries of the world from making their own atomic bombs, they could be rationed out so every country of the world gets their fair share of them. This could be called the "doomsday plan" and would be "politically correct" for politicians worldwide. The news {entertainment} cartel would sell it as "the bomb to end all bombs" and make a fortune for their billionaire owners.
Iran is not the problem, the history shows problem comes from Israel. I have seen their recent war with wepon less Gaza that how they kill kids and old women.

The problem with Iranian nuclear ambition lays with nuclear Israel. You can’t have one country constantly bullying the other. Disarm Israel and the problem solved; otherwise as long as Israel is nuclear capable Iran will never give up its nuclear ambitions.
