Are US politicians nothing more than a bunch of fat cats?

Politicians are supposed to act on behalf of the people they represent, but are politicians really taking into account people's ideas, or is it all about money and power? And does a chance to vote really matter?
They are bloated pigs, for the most part. They led the country to near ruin and the Senators just gave themselves a $5000/year raise and the Congressmen a $4000/year raise. They get full medical and dental benefits free. Most of their constituents either have no medical care or are losing what little they have (along with their jobs.) These politicians are bought and paid for-- would listen to AIPAC and Benjamin Netanyahu (or Goldman Sachs and Hank Paulson) before they'd give a rat's buttocks for their constituents' views. If you guys ever deide to reopen the gulags, please take them off our hands! Give them some honest work for a change.

They are an absolute disgrace. Not only do they do harm to us, the US citizens, they also cause harm around the world with their screwed up policies. Tom has hit the nail on the head about them. They're all war profiteers who are all about colonizing the world as far as I'm concerned. It's quite disgusting. I think that all governments all over the world are equally corrupt. Some are just better at hiding it than others.
Of course they are. They are the New World Order Corporate Politicians--an arm of corporate business to secure resources for the US by war or paid alliances.They are financed and driven by an unelected and anonymous financial elite. The election process for the people, is only to legitimise the corporate capitalist agenda.
