"Romania will get the guarantee of being safe from any missile attacks" OR more accurately Romania will get the benefit of being targeted so that it has no chance with dealing with a missile attack, next!

And the net continues to tighten around Russia. Only a fool would believe that this system is not aimed at Russia, but what can Russia do without the risk of sparking a confrontation / cold war?

Mikhail Troitsky said : “This is definitely not a threat” regarding 24 American ballistic missile launchers on Romanian territory, a stone through from Russia. The fact that this system can easily be transformed into offensive one, contrary to the “hocus-pocus” of the Romanian President, what is this Mikhail Troitsky preaching is not in Russia's favour. What kind of START treaty this guy is worried about being derailed with only one side in the driving sit? And what is much more puzzling is that this guy Troitsky is not even mentioning the reality that Romania is not threatened by anyone to be concerned about any missile attack because it is of no interest to anyone. The only target these missiles will be pointed at is Russia. What if Russia installs S-400 systems in Venezuela to defend it from oncomming Iranian missiles? What would Troitsky preach then? Is this guy being paid by Russia’s tax payers money?

I have said it before. Wake up Russia. US putting a knife in your back. US will sorrund Russia and next is China. Give the US a warning that if they put out this missile, then you will put some in Cuba, Venecuela, Norht of Russia and place some submarine just outside US Californian border. The world need you to stand up Russia. If not US will take over. The world need a strong Russia, Chine and India, Brasil.

@Count Cash: "OR more accurately Romania will get the benefit of being targeted so that it has no chance with dealing with a missile attack, next!" From Russia?? :)) Romania is in NATO if Russia tries something it will be crushed, Putin knows that. The thing is if you want to be secure you have to pay for it, and to take risks, everybody should know that.No one will help you for free. And the price will be very low for Romania this time. The so called "Russian eliberation" of Eastern Europe was payed with 50 years of communism and billions of euros (at curent rate) payed by the "eliberated" countries, with the so called mixed companies (who only stoled the richess of the respective country and tranfered it to the "mother Russia"). Russia shoudn't even be taken into account here, this is a pact between 2 souveran countries (the imperalistic times of Russia is over, they can't threat E.E. with an invasion :) ), every country should do whatever she wants. Btw this is a defensive sistem with medium range (around 300 km - can't reach russian territory) not an offensive one , so if Russia dosen't want to bomb Europe it shoudn't be a problem. It's influence over much of E.E. is over, Russia should know that by now...They can't tell us what we can do and what we can't do ! If Ukraine whats to join NATO than Ukraine should join, because it's a souveran country and does whatever she wants. @Jean-Claude Meslin; speak for yourself, France (and Germany) is ready to sell E.E. for a few billions, we can't trust the France any longer. And look at Ukraine now, beacuse of France and Germany they are again into Russia's orbit. Btw I heard that US will donate around 48 F-16 fighters and other millitary hardware to Romania. This is how it goes Mr. Meslin, if you want something you pay for it, including for being a friend with somebody ;) and France tries to be a friend of Russia by selling E.E. :(

RIGA is absolutely right: I have written several times the same comment on many other topics relating Russian-American relations. I still do not understand Misters Medvedev, Putin and Lavrov's plans when dealing with those US deceitful creeps. I also noticed than when questioning the Russian leaders dealing with the US-NATO consorcium, or with that "phony" Sarkonaparte, my comments are not published. WHY ! (Just keep in mind my remarks for the next few months)... Sorry Future Generations ! Sincerely...Jean-Claude Meslin

Well, I am of Romanian origin, but I just see that many countries try to use us, and our territory for their own interests! I don't think the population of the country will have something to benefit from this kind of initiative! Let's just put it straight-we never had real problems with our neighbours, or with Russia, we are not a people who likes war, during our secular history we never started a war or attacked other nations! I would like to see that Russians let the Moldavians speak both Russian and Romanian, and that Moldavian Republic can advance, that there isn't any discrimination or hate betwen the citizens. Till now no one invested a penny there, no one helps the population! As for Jean Meslin, I would like to tell you something else: neither Romania, nor other East European nations, had problems with prostitution, but since 1989 till now I've just seen my country destroyed, the enteprises that functioned during Communism closed or brought to bankruptcy by so-called foreign-investors, and people who are daily humiliated just because they come from East(and it's the case of states like France, England, and other West European countries). You pretend all people are equal, but, in fact they're not!

RIGA is absolutely right. It is difficult to understand the Russian leaders (Medvedev, Putin, Lavrov) strategy to counter imperialist America. They should have realised after over one year in office that nothing good can be expected from N-PiPO and his administration. The Bush's policies are fully followed; often, even in a more deceitful manner. To increase the danger, America has more than ever the complete obedience of NATO and several prostitute states. There is a way to warranty a peaceful World but not a single notorious leader want to initiate it...Sorry Future Generations !!! Best Regerds...Jean-Claude Meslin

..prostitute states like France for examples that is a very good friend with US, condemns the Russian invasion in Georgia and after that sells weapons to Russia, allowing the Russian troupes to be deployed faster. Do you have any moral background to speak about prostitution Meslin?

dany, NATO can't even hold a team together in Afghanistan, they aren't going to fight over Romania or any othe eastern European state. They will look after themselves as usual. Protect Romania or lose their cities and countries. Difficult choice! Romania goes everytime. NATO is for the West not the east, ELIODOR pretty well says it all about 'respect' given to Romania and its position in the EU. Romania is looking for a fight it will lose, and lose in a big way.

ELIODOR: I do not target the average Romanian citizen but like in so many countries (including my own) the leaders. If the banking system will like to do to Humanity a favour, it should publish, every year the bank accounts operations & balance of all political leaders (mostly those dealing with the US-NATO consortium). Sorry Future Generations...Sincerely. Jean-Claude Meslin

No offence for you Meslin, but words such as: "French Cancan", or "French kiss", or "French party"- aren't they all...French? Anyway just try to see what states like France, Holland, England, Germany did in Africa, or what they did first with local population when they arrived to US! What about those Americans who left thousands of orphans around Vietnam? They had sexual relations with local females, they left them pregnant but they never assumed what they did, same for US native populations-where they raped, then they exterminated!

Mr Jean Meslin, perhaps your real religious appurtenance is Muslim...well, if it is so(and I have to say I've got nothing against you), don't try to interfere in Romania's and Russia' internal affairs. We payed for centuries Ottoman Empire just to have the right to pray in our language and to keep our Orthodox faith on our OWN ROMANIAN TERRITORY, so don't try to provoke Russians against Romanians; just try to see of your own business! Thank you! As for Russia and Russian citizens, I don't think they like war, I think some of them are manipulated and provoked by some lies and liars, the sad part is that this citizens have money and mass-media in their hands..the same thing happens in every other country may it be from East, from West, from US, etc!

Xenon In case you may have not ride my previous comments; I shall remain you that I dislike the Sarkonaparte and former French administrations as much as the US MIC. My enemies are those responsible for the trillion, or more dollars wasted each year on military gadgets. I even recalled a event occurred between 1959 and 60 in Algeria. I know that my country, thanks to ignoble decision-makers like Sarkozy is the best prostitute of them all. We sell that Mistral because France has nearly two trillions € of debts. We are on the road to ruin and our machiavelic comedian-president want a new plane for his numerous trips (as confortable as Air-Force-One). Personally, I cannot be a prostitute because I never worked for armaments; excepted from 1961 to 63 when I participated in the French atomic program; believing like President De gaulle that France had to be free of superpowers' influence and interference. I fight that insane waste for over twenty years and for the first time, thanks to Internet and RTTV I can expose my views. Conclusion: Your comment does not concern me...Sorry Future Generations. Sincerely... Jean-Claude Meslin ;

the timing of all this talk of missiles in Romania is certainly no co-incidence. It was mentioned round about the time Ukraine elected a "moscow friendly" (as the west put it) president. Now this new announcent comes on the "moscow friendly" president's visit to his Russian counterpart. NATO now seems it needs to antagonise both Russia and Ukraine, by needlessly deploying weapons on Ukraine's borders, and near to Russian territory. Anders Fogh Rasmussen can try to sweettalk Russia all he likes by saying that "NATO is not a threat to Russia", however, these are just words, and NATO's actions seem to suggest otherwise. If NATO truly wasn't a threat to Russia, they wouldn't need to keep saying that NATO is not a threat to Russia: there actions would serve to prove this.

ELIODOR March 07, 2010, 22:16 quote

Anyway, let's forget armament and war and admit that most of the East Europe's countries admire Western Europe's countries for their health system, the fact that they support young students,young parents, and encourage them financially and help them find jobs easier. That's why most of Eastern citizens want to go to West-so that they can find a new job there, better payed(so here you have the difference of the workers' monthly payment in East and West..). But most of them pay the "price" or tribute of being born in East.. It's sad all these peoples fight for nothing, just because they are provoked by some psychological and financial manipulators! So PEACE everywhere! (by the way, I like French cuisine, I also like Russian one, you have so many ideas, and I pray that what you cook and what you sell, may be available to everyone, and that each citizen has the financial power to buy what he wants-except arms, bombs, and other dangerous things)

Russia also can place an MD system to Romania to defence the Romanian missile system and inspectsthe Romanian territory by satillites in 24 hours a day and informs its result in the internet sites every day. Olny saying that it's just peace to ballance the millary power near Romaian territory. Russia also cut the supply of goods related to the missile system, for examples, it includes natural resources and energy, electronic goods, electric goods and other materials which can be changed to the missile systmes.
