Speaking to a group of homeschooling advocates US Republican Congressman and 2012 presidential hopeful Ron Paul warned that the US Department of Education was working to “indoctrinate” their children.

They [US Department of Education] don’t educate our kids, they indoctrinate our kids,” he said. “It’s a propaganda machine.”

Those who willingly stand against the government and the Department of Education by opting to home school are, he contended, standing up and making an “effort to counteract the propaganda machine.”

Paul is no stranger to targeting the Department of Education, in fact he has ion many occasions argued it should be abolished entirely.

Kids who are homeschooled are better off, he argued. Those who received a public education are the ones with problems.

In public education they’re intimidated to be conformists and individuals taught at home are very adapted to expressing what they believe,” he told the crowd.

In addition, homeschoolers’ better support the US Constitution.

The best thing that has come out of the home school movement is the respect you’re teaching about the rule of law and our Constitution,” Paul remarked.

US public schools are not federally run; they are run by states and local municipalities. According to Paul, however a public school education merely spreads US government propaganda and fails to teach the constitution or the rule of law.

poverty is the by product of free enterprise capitalism, poor people are poor because of themselves, unsuccessful ones, and as such do not deserve nothing better. One has to come to live here to see and understand.

You are very naive to think that people are only unsuccessful due to their own shortcomings. I'm a US war veteran and scholar and I can say with absolute certainty you are self righteous to think otherwise. Capitalism is a plague on humanity and you know it.

Wealth will always bring corruption. Russia will be no different. Russia will fall to the same curse that the United States is developing. Try as it might, the influx of money and luxury will bring Russia to failure just like the USA.

This article states that public schools in the USA are not Federally run, but rather run by states and local government, which is technically true, but not practically true, as they receive Federal money in exchange for incorporating Federally mandated curricula.  They are indeed effectively controlled by the Federal Dept of Education, by means of stick-or-carrot persuasion.  "You teach what we tell you to teach, or you get no Federal money."
