Ergo, your claims that Russia was an aggressor many times in the 20th century is ill founded. Rather, the past 200 years show war after war waged in order to restrict Russian growth. The Crimean War was declared because Russia was enroaching on Ottoman territory like every other European power, and succeeding better than the rest. The Treaty of San Stefano in 1878 was also considered too good for Russia, and so the main European powers gathered at Berlin and informed Russia that it would accept the Treat of Berlin in 1878, or it would face war. The Russo-Japanese War of 1905 was Japan wanting as much of Eastern Asia for itself as possible, and the British empire wishing to impede Russia's efforts for a year-round warm water port in the Pacific. Then there's the current NATO expansion into Eastern Europe, where NATO promised that it would go no further than Germany, and violated that promise immediately, pushing right up to Russia's borders.
