While the USA and Russia are finalizing talks on adoption, another Russian child has been killed in the USA, reports news agency Itar-Tass.

Jackson David Attuso, age 8, of Clinton, Louisiana was assaulted while walking with his foster mother and brother. The relatives lost sight of him only to find his dead body with numerous stabbing wounds and his throat cut.

Trevor Reese, a 16-year-old senior from a local school, has been arrested on suspicion of murder. According to the sheriff, Trevor Reese did not deny his guilt and even boasted about the crime, reports local media.

The motives for the crime are still unclear. Reese comes from a wealthy family and reportedly is a good student.

Currently he is awaiting trial in prison as the trial date has already been set. Moreover, he will be tried as an adult, even though Reese will be 17 years old in a month.

Jackson David Attuso was adopted in Russia’s Far East in 2003. According to unverified information, he had the surname Kazantsev.

The chain of episodes involving abuse and deaths of Russian adopted children in the USA has recently led to a temporary freeze on adoption. The last straw was an American foster mother sending her seven-year-old child back to Russia alone with a note saying she no longer needed him.

Both countries have held a number of consultations to elaborate on the procedures for adoption to protect Russian children abroad. The talks are currently in their final stage.

How can a parent and sibling loose sight and find a child dead.  Also, with a name like Jackson David Attuso; I would have been checking background on those that adopted and find out what they were getting on welfare?  That name sounds like it is attached to high crime and neighborhood.  A last name, a first name and I have no clue what the 3rd identifier name is related with.  I am sure that rich kid will pay highly in prison for murdering a child in cold blood.  They should kill him and investigate the family that raised the animal; as well as the one that adopted that little child.  There are more than 1 criminal involved.

Russia can barely manage to keep its own population from declining, why is it allowing foreigners to adopt out it's precious youth? They are often only mistreated in places like the USA. It is almost like a colonial relationship where not only material but human resources also are exported to metropolitan countries from the hinterland. How can Russia be great and match the West in development- with such policies. Russia cannot afford to squander it's human resources, especially it's precious youth.

United States of America is home to a thousands sexual perverts, child molesters, street gangs, drug addicts, killer parents and all other forms of social misfits. Each evening American TV programs present crime stories where parents kill their children, children kill there parents, where children go missing only to be found brutally assaulted and dead. Such programs on social deviancy seem to hold a strange fascination for the American public. It is very unwise for Russia to permit Americans to adopt Russian children.
