“I am pretty confident that it will become a law for D.C.”, the editor of the Washington Blade told RT about the most controversial and widely discussed issue on same-sex marriages in the U.S.

The hearings are beginning on a bill to legalize same-sex marriage in D.C., and the D.C. City Council is expected to authorize residents to vote on the issue by December.

“It’s incredibly symbolic to have this happening in the nation’s capital. It’s an important victory”, Kevin Naff said about the activists who have been fighting for this issue for many years.

Artyom, There is no such thing as "promoting alternative sexualities". Nobody chooses to be gay, just like no one "chooses" to be straight. That is just how they are. Not allowing gays to have the right to marry is just pure discrimination, and whatever the Bible or any other holy book says about homosexuality should not carry any relevance at all, especially in a (supposedly) secular society such as the US. And frankly I don't see how homosexuality "destroys" families, either. You don't need a mother and a father to raise children, and it has already been demonstrated by the thousands of children who have grown up with gay or lesbian parents that they all turn out just fine. The sooner homosexuals become an accepted part of society the better. EQUAL RIGHTS FOR HOMOSEXUALS.

Self immolation of America is definitely entertaining. Economy tanks following Society. Destruction of the family seems to be going as planned. I am not against gays, but promoting alternate sexualities is counter productive. The only US government motive is for taxes not that they care about gays.
