South Carolina GOP Gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley is being accused of having had two separate sexual affairs, and many are saying the revelations should end her political career.
Dana Goldstein, associate editor of The Daily Beast, said there is absolutely a double standard regarding sexual relations in American politics. While not all men end up pulling through to continue their political careers after a sex scandal, there are many who do, Goldstein said, citing the cases of Bill Clinton and David Vitter specifically.
“Just like them, I think she has the right to throw her hat into the ring politically and continue competing,” said Goldstein.
Goldstein argues that Haley should be judged on her merits and professional accomplishments like any other candidate, not on unconfirmed allegations of sex scandals.
“We don’t know yet if the allegations against here are true or false. The two guys who are accusing her of affairs don’t have a heck of a lot of evidence. The evidence they cite is sort of hearsay and circumstantial,” said Goldstein.
Haley’s most recent accuser is actually a former paid consultant to another gubernatorial candidate.
“We need to find out more,” said Goldstein. “If these allegations are false, Nikki Haley is the victim of the slimiest political sex effort to tarnish someone in American history."
Although the allegations are gaining attention, it appears Nikki Haley will still win the Republican primary election. She continues to lead in the polls and may be gaining more support from voters who are sympathetic with her situation.

Gulf oil spill overshadows second oil leak in AlaskaWhile the focus has been on the BP oil rig explosion and crude oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, BP’s other spill of more than 100,000 gallons of oil in Alaska has been completely overshadowed. |
Don't worry, girl. It's the only thing they can corrupt you with in spine worship, only place of their pleasing value. I ran the argument through myself. I've been destroyed because of my unclean thought-process and all the affairs that I didnt have as well as not even thinking that in the first place. To get around the argument, just cut it out. Your desire won't be there then to corrupt or lie to not not denial. You don't have to spend your life tangled in modern psychology or the world of unequal equals. If you wish to be, you can take any form you like.

I agree with Sarah. Sadly there are some men who will woo a woman leader for sex or, as Nikki Haley implies, brag about exploits that never occurred - all with an ulterior motive of making the woman look bad. To guard against damage from this type of attack, in my new book, Cracking the Double Standard Code I urge readers to develop personal rules that include avoiding unnecessary socializing. Advice offered in the chapter There is no Morning After Pill includes minimizing after-hours contact with coworkers - and using aides as confidants is definitely a no-no. While those alleged really long conversations held in the wee hours between Nikki Haley and one of her accusers are not proof of an affair, it is demonstrative to women leaders how they must guard against their personal lives spilling into their professional lives to avoid exploitation by opponents.
