A plane carrying the Russian citizens accused by the US of spying and deported from the country landed at Moscow's Domodedovo airport on Friday evening.
The so called BP mega festival just after "the south korean Torpedo festival" and then all you get out is bunch of Comrades spying in US, whom are actually getting exange now? Ok did any one took Mr Barry seriously when he said "Every thing is brought to you by Goldman Sachs". Nevermind
Horizon I think Russians need to worry less about what Barry/Obama may or may not had in mind and focus that this swap now involves 30 spies-29 Russians [20 spying for the west] and 9 Russians accused of spying for Russia. Russia needs to worry about why people who has suitcases of cash and expensive apts and houses at the expense of the Russian state produced next to nothing valuable information after ten or more years of deep cover in the U.S. In addition, Russia need to worry about the why so many of its citizens are willing to spy for foreign countries and against their homeland to earn money. The most astonishing is the report that And Anna Chapman expressed her displeasure of being returned to Russia and that she would have preferred to be sent to the UK! I think this is more than spy cases. I think this scandal requires Russians to take a closer look at where their society is heading and what sort of society they wish to build for themselves. Even if Obama had a hand in this spy fiasco, it looks good PR for him: wannabe Russian spies were captured, publicly humiliated, tried, convicted, departed, their asserts and cash appropriated. These Russians have little chance of returning to the U.S. But we are not sure when it comes to the Russian spies. What is the chance of somebody convicted spying for Russia against the U.S would receive open arms in the UK? But Anna Chapman thinks that were she wants to go to the UK and that those who were sent to the U.S/UK for spying for the U.S can return to Russia if they so wish! These cases have had profoundly damaging effects for Russia. I often defend Russia as vigorously as possible but it is hard not see this spy scandal represent deeper corruption in the Russian society. http://en.rian.ru/russia/20100709/159751181.html
PR101, I have been a fan of RT for many years now as I like to see a different perspective on world news other than my own BBC. All I seem to see here is we the UK are the bad guys although its the people that count all around the world, call me nieve cynical or what the UK US Iranian Russian etc PEOPLE the majority all seek the same goal piece and harmony. I'm a Scotsman and I know that we Scots have been shaping your country for many many centuries we are closer to you than the English but I would like to see more intelligent debate on RT rather than you guys against the west.We hold you in regards as our brothers and sisters man its just kills me me to see you guys say lets sell our 300 whatever anti missiles can't remember the name lol forgive me Its the Vodka and Whiskey talking haha (Sorry up all night watching Day Watch)Sell them to Iran have you seen how they stone and hang there people its barbaric I don't get it any its up to you guys who you deal and sell arms too.We are not your enemy damn we are your brothers and sisters here in Scotland. Ever heard of a guy called Robert Burns. Anyway I hope to visit Russia one day as it is my dream I used to work with Russians here in the UK and you couldn't have worked with a better bunch of guys. P.S Gutted the Russians and the Scots didn't make it to the world cup now that would have been a party........Come on Russia 2014 Brazil and the Scots.... Its party time.If Glasgow Rangers play in Moscow again I will bight my right arm off to get a ticket. Enough of my rambling sorry my friends Russian Vodka rules by the way....Forgive me for my rant a wee guy from Glasgow.
This affair has been embarrassing for the Russian intelligence services but it is encouraging to see the speed and discretion with which both US and Russian authorities have handled the swap. By avoiding trials, the US have saved Russia some prolonged embarrassment with the discussion of trade craft and the naming of Russian embassy officials involved during court proceedings. Both US and Russian governments obviously wish to put this affair aside and neither wish relations to be affected. As for Ms Chapman, if she really wants to return to live in the UK, she may want to get legal representation while she is still a UK citizen and therefore, an EU citizen. This gives her a number of rights - which she would not have if her British citizenship is revoked.
I'm continuously hearing that the 10 Russian agents achieved nothing in America. But they were able to keep the FBI busy, and may have kept suspicion off other (more productive) agents. In exposing these agents, the Americans were not only able to get their guys out of Russia, but they were able to simplify things at home. I'm sure the Russians are also happy to get their guys home and relieve themselves of the American spies. So I guess it's smiles all round!
Use your brains. If Russia was willing to give the US 4 such high-level spies in a swap, these 10 could not have been as 'harmless' as the media is making them out to be.

Every govt spies ,that normal,it spies on people who they consider a threat to its way of life,I would not expect anything different from my Govt ,regardless of which nationality you are talking about, the nack is not getting caught. But lets not get confused ,A traitor is not a spy,he is the worst charateristic a human can have.So why all the fuss.Just let your govts do what is necessary.
