“Politicians' reaction to swine flu does not match threat”

Symptoms of H1N1 flu are no more serious than those of a regular flu, while vaccines can cause injuries and death, said Barbara Loe Fisher, president of the National Vaccine Information Center.
My mother-inlaw had Flu vaccine. I had advised her not to have this injection as some years previously she had her Pituatary gland removed and was on cortsone and therefore immunosuppresed. She still had the injection (following her doctors advice). Sadly she developed severe inflamation of the pancreas and was admitted to hospital where she later died of heatattack from severe pain which could only be alleviated by further injections of cortisone. She was trapped in a vicious circle as the injections, whilst alleviating pain, further comprimised her immune system. Anyone who is frail or comprimised has a difficult choice to make but if Swine Flu does not turn really nasty as did the third wave of the 1918 pandemic I believe that it would be unwise to have this vaccine. There is the further factor that the majority of Flu victims in the 1918 pandemic succumbed to bacterial pneumonia which followed the Flu. Doctors state that that antibiotics do not act against viruses and this is true - what they do not say is that they act agaist the bacterial pneumonia which killed the majority of Flu victims in 1918.
How do we know if getting H1N1 now is benificial to our immune systems? Maybe trusting the human body to protect itself naturally will protect us in the future from the inevitable mutations we will face in the future. If my children are given the opportunity to fight this and strengthen their immune systems, will they not be better able to fight it and survive it? Are vaccinations dissabling our immune systems or strengthening them? When will we know? When it's too late to go back?

I am a parent of two children, one whom has Autism. I believe his Autism was aquired after vaccination with MMR, as shortly afterwards he started to withdraw. He lost his speech and developed alopecia. I am obviously very worried about swine flu, but more so about having my childen vaccinated. My daughter has not recieved any vaccinations as a result of my fear. How can Governments take the risk of vaccinating children when the vaccines have not been properly trialed at over a long period? I feel it is up to every parent to decide what to do with regards vaccine, but I believe some children should not be vaccinated with any vaccines. If there is a family history of immune system problems, (as there is in mine, and I later found out the link with vaccines) I believe vaccinations can be harmful, in that they can weaken the persons system, exposing them to the full blown side effects. I feel for the majority of children vaccination is a good thing, but for some it can be very harmful. I think governments can and should screen for immune system problems before vaccinating. This would lower the risk of aquiring Autism and other adverse effects. Prevention is better than the cure, but how can governments gamble with our children's lives. Some people may think that having a child with Autism is better than risking the death of the child from swine flu, but the full effects of swine flu have not yet been established and the government has said that the deaths from swine flu is no more prevailent than ordinary flu. The media has panicked the general public as this flu is quiet new and not much is known about it. Should we therefore jump in and give vaccinations thick and fast to children without considering the serious side effects the vaccines could entail? I urge parents to look at their family medical history befor considering vaccine. I also urge governments to screen children for suitability to vaccines
