The sad truth about democratic election everywhere is that demos is always duped by oligarchs and corrupted politicians. The other sad truth is that there is no really a choice for somebody who can and is willing to think at least a little bit and analyze the situation. I was reading about Ukraine, but was thinking about the latest presidential election in US. Yanukovich vs Timoshenko or Obama vs McCain. What a rot!

Ukraine should value its shared history with Russia. Western Europe has shown, time and time again , it is not to be trusted. It is very "trendy" for Ukraine to think that Ukraine matters to "the West" but Ukraine will be used by the West . Better to stick with Russia as Russia has the future, and the West has not much resources .
