The US is negotiating a deal to build seven military bases in Colombia to fight the war on drugs. RT spoke to Eva Golinger, an attorney and author, who believes the decision is more than just to prevent drug trafficking.

Many of the country's neighbors are firmly against the plan, citing the threat to their national security.
