Ron Paul drums up congressional support to audit Federal Reserve

The Republican Ron Paul has enlisted 271 Congressman in his campaign to pull back the shroud of mystery surrounding the ultra-secretive US Federal Reserve, but even he admits there are many battles left to fight.
This issue has truly shown the power of grassroots efforts. The reason it has advanced as far as it has is the people have demanded it from their representatives. But the Fed is cunning and powerful, we will have to keep the pressure on and watch to see that this legislation is not diluted.
Abolishing the federal reserve would be one step in the right direction, but also America needs to get it's industrial base back. We need a campaign to push hard to start bringing factories back home. Any country that gives up it's industrial base is setting a course for troubled waters. Get an honest monetary system and put Americans back to work and the economy problem will work itself out.

Friggin finally, some of our congressmen are seeing the truth. I really, really hope Ron Paul runs for office next election. And I really hope he gets the GOP's nomination. If he doesn't, I'm voting libertarian, but if he does, there's a good chance for change in this country. And not the phony change Obama talked about.
I wonder if Ron Paul realizes just how powerful he has become. Put that guy on our television and I think he would probably become president here as well ;) Ron Paul for world president. To really solve the FED problem, Ron Paul needs to go further, develop a vision for the world. That’s how he will win against all odds. The FED not only double-crossed the USA, its tentacles are also hurting every other nation in the world together with its European financial cronies. When the time comes, Americans might just find half the world standing together with them. World versus Private Central Banks… our final freedom... imagine that... now that would be some history.

If this legislation is made law, this could be the best thing to happen in US government in a generation.
