There are a handful of media companies in the US that tend to have one commitment: not to inform the people and serve the public, but to allow their shareholders to make money.

The absolute truth in a nutshell.

This article is true. Former ABC anchor Ted Koppel once said in the 80's it was all about the ratings and capturing an audience. Thus the truth is diminished or warped. However, it is interesting to note that the American media blamed Russia during the Georgian conflict. Even after Saakashvili said, "we started the war" last November the American media still looked the other way. I am wondering who controls the American media. I have to hear the radio to get the truth or read articles on the internet. The mainstream American media does not ask Obama any tough questions that most would like to ask. They are bought and paid for. Investigative journalism is almost dead. Freedom of speech is waning and even Europe believes Obama.

Just like in LIFE!! ...YOU , have got to know WHAT?? ..you want out of life..!!The journey of 'a thousand miles'...as they say ,begins only thereafter!! Not before>>!! So, in diplomacy and politics YOU GOTTA know 'what' you want..!! and only YOU can decide that ..!! NOBODY else ,for all the money in the world can decide that for you!! and it is here that the true mettle of a leader comes to the fore..That is one of the reasons politics and diplomacy is so very very interesting....!! like nothing else..!! The WHAT part behind your belt, then the HOW & WHERE & WHY & WHEN are horses which 'complete -your-chariot>>!!..and then YOU ARE TRULY EQUIPPED!!!!! AND>>>>>>HOW>>>>>>!!!! I am saying all this .. because it is expected of me to say all these things to you 'dearest readers' ...and I will be.. only TOO GLAD!!! if some of your Jigsaw Puzzles peices 'find the right place' because of my write.. thanks..RAAJ JOSHI :EMAIL:aventinesylla@yahoo.co.in

I am forced to go to foreign sources to obtain news that should be available here but is not. I get most of my news off the Internet, which is why certain self-glorified leaders are trying to seize it. One source is in Canada and, of course RT and other places. Lately, my attempts to open links on the Internet have been an exercise in futility due to outright sabotage by parties unknown. The bugged link freezes the computer, forcing me to shut down and reboot to clear it. Then I return to problematic source and delete it so I can move on.

I read something about thirty years ago in Mother Earth news about how research for developing Television was paid for by corporations who wanted to use it as a way to sell their products to the public. I never looked back. I listen to radio for good music. I listen to news only when it seems there is something to learn. I have been acutely aware ever since the Gulf war of the NON news that was being used to fill up airtime so that no news of what was really going on would get through. When the world is in desparate conditiion with wars and suffering everywhere, it is interesting to see how many interviews on "how to cook a meal for under ten dollars" and other NON news is aired. People need the relief, of course, but there is always the OFF button.

This is completely true, and this is why I am reading Russian news. CNN, FOX, MSNBC is total garbage. Alex Jones is a true American. God Bless Russia and the US. Merry Christmas.
