The US navy has delayed plans to move more than 8,500 marines from their military base on the Japanese island of Okinawa. The delay is likely to upset local residents who are highly critical of the US presence there.

The U.S may not want to leave this Island any time soon. Unfortunately for the U.S, it will be forced to leave Japan because China will use economic trade with Japan rather than military occupation to challenge the U.S occupation of Japan. The U.S does not have similar economic incentives to keep Japanese in the U.S geopolitical orbit. This is the reason why the locals want to the U.S bases out. The Soviet Union did not make similar mistake when it liberated Manchuria. Today, majority of the Chinese people see Russia as a friend not an enemy or an occupier. Majority of the Japanese view the U.S as an occupation force and the U.S presence in Japan depends on tiny elite class and military might. If the Soviet Union did not leave Manchuria, the modern Russia would not have been able to form strategic partnership with China. Of course, the Pentagon would claim that it is providing stability in the Pacific Asia region. In reality, it is a source of instability. The Japanese feel confident now to make alternative alliances with the emerging powers in the region because Japan does not want to sink with the U.S economic shipwreck.

I highly doubt the author of this so called article has ever actually set foot on Okinawa. First off the US Navy has no control over the Marine Corp and it's movement from here. The author also has no idea about the political situation nor I would bet that the actually attempted to contact any military official's here. There is a lot of bull in this article and it needs to be tossed in the trash.

Japan is an American Protectorate, not a Free nation. The Japanese Prime Minister told the U.S. troops to leave, and the U.S. said "No, thanks".

I'm no longer delusional when it comes to the United States of Israel. I've always had my doubts about them constantly tooting their own horn, but, after researching real history instead of the Jewish controlled pablum coated with lies we get here my eyes are being opened. I understand that ALL governments are oppressive now. Some moreso than others. But in the case of nations such as the U.S. of Israel and the U.K. I'm fully awake. No "benevolent" nation feels the need to occupy over 130 nations with military toadies. The pathetic part is the sheeple here still actually believe their own "hype" all the while they are being screwed into oblivion by factions who laugh up their sleeves at any concept of patriotism or nationalism. Both, here anyway, seem to be words only found in the lexicon of the ignorant masses.

As you know very well, security interest trump economic interest every time. Russia, Japan, US, Australia, and India will together stem Chinese Hegemony in the Asian Region.

The Pentagon generals have yet to come to terms with the 21st century reality that their empire, predicated on a grandiose injection of military bases world-wide, has run its course. Neither the world, nor American people want such an empire - it's only the Pentagon generals and their contractor pals who persist in maintaining these bases. The US is slowly decaying, both economically and socially. This decay will force America to contract and collapse within itself, leaving her world-wide military bases vacant habitations for crows and lizards.
