RT and other internet news outlets are not the enemy of the United States. They are the enemy of Time-Warner. It is basic competition. If the Big Boys in USA media don't have reliable news but keep pushing out "infotainment" and pablum for the brain, their audience is going to go elsewhere. At least, for as long as we are allowed to.

The US is sounding more radical than Israel which isn't a good thing. The US policy has been and still is under Obama, "Everything is peachy as long as you do what WE say"...and with the US's massive economic failures, two failed wars, and a country that is decades behind the rest of the industrialized world etc., the US is the one others need to be very wary of dealing with because history is clear, if you become the US's friend....you will soon be their enemy.

Keep up the good work, the truth always hurts. Looks like RT and Others have got them rattled.

Voice of America, Radio Free Europe and the new stations ( R. Sawha, R. Farda and Radio Free Asia ) are already dead-in-the-water and irrelevant. Voice of America has cut most languages and set up specialised stations. RT News is my favourite news source, using internet and television. RT looks at several angles of a story or issue. Keep up the great work RT, even if the truth hurts at times. And ofcourse, some of the reporters and presenters are really cute!

Sometimes there is a defining moment, and from my many western friends, the defining moment for the collapse of the belief in western media, by westerners, came during the South Ossetia conflict. At this moment it became balatently obvious that the whole western media were controlled as one, the common mode errors became visible for all to see, the synchronisation of 'party line facts' became obvious and inescapable. Indeed that single event changed the perception of western media for all time. Yes they were on the slide with lies of WMD, with Islamaphobia.. But it was the final straw initaiated by the crazy tie eater combined wth a knee jerk cold war party line that drove the nails into the coffin of western media, and exposed them for the journalistic fraud that they are So now western media is in a hole, with little world credibility, and shrinking influence, they face either becoming an insular party propaganda machine, for internal western consumption, or become agressive to force their propaganda on the rest of the world. It will be an interesting time going forward for the Goebells team. Their agressive stance is becoming clear, some say it is to retain finacial support, but the worry is that they could garner their party military machine in the form of NATO to enforce their journalistic will on populations that have seen through their veneer of 'truth' to see the underlying lies and hypocrisy Some enlightened western people have awoken, so there is an opportunity for truth, but what is important is to honour this position and not abuse it with an alternative party line. The world's people are crying out for the truth, for fairness for justice. They are tied of colonial exploitation and the perpetuation western lies. RT and othe's jobs like independents, is to hold to the truth, not to exploit weaknesses. If you do this, which is an onerous task, then this world will move forward. If not then we will all just sit again on the pendulum of injustice.

Telesur is from Latin America: Argentina, Bolivia, Cuba, Ecuador, Nicaragua and Venezuela. But again is a campaign against Venezuela. Looks like Obama is equal to Bush, and Hilary is even worse than Rice

RT isnt objective, because it promotes a certain perspective as well. although I do not know if its intentional, its important to keep perspective. When reading US media, I directly look at where they are spinning, where they lie to you. Free speech haha. Works for them. I at least know what Voice of America is, because Ive heard that name in a game, but had no idea what it was. E:DMW :-)

@toma RT openly admits that it is funded by the Russian government (check the description on their YouTube channel) with the budget of about 30 million not the billions this guy said as a means to counter the 100% negative propaganda in the state aligned mass media here in the west who their exiled oligarchs have invested millions of their stolen fortune in media, phoney think tanks and political influence as well as multi-million annual US investment in anti-Putin/Russian and other countries funded by US, EU and Soros organisations. Organised crime boss Boris Berezovsky brags about his connections to the major political parties here in Britain with never a word of criticism. As the Forbes article written about him in 96 put it: "stands tall as one of the most powerful men in Russia. Behind him lies a trail of corpses, uncollected debts and competitors terrified for their lives." At least we know who controls RT we don’t know for the most part who controls the media in Europe and the US and their political and financial connections for the most part.

I agree Time - Warner is too leftist, so their ratings suffer greatly and people are switching to FOX for more objective, insightful news coverage and comments. RT is admittedly funded by Russian governement whereas US media is publicly funded, so there is little comparison when foreign authocracies are using western freedoms and trying to cut in here with their ideology- driven "news we can choose" often presented with a spin and posing as "agents of influence" stressing malicious "moral relativism" used as a fig leaf of their ideology. To all you liberals out there: Keep believing in "good and fair" Obama and follow him to the end :) if your goal is a decline of western civilization and values.

Oh don't worry RT, it's only the Broadcasting Board of Governors blowing smoke. However, if Hillary Clinton blows into town in her hip and swanky 707, you, my friends, are in big trouble. She may point her bony finger your way and tell The Kremlin Guys to pull the plug on RT. If you people fail to follow her orders, dear ones, there is one big military-industrial complex commandeered by Mr. B.O. with the US Registered "Shock 'n Awe" Trademark - as in Weapons of Mass Collateral Damage - to put the fear of God ? in you you Godless ? Communalist-whatever-Types. Now start broadcasting some good Old Fashion Hate! Level the playing field. Pick a subject - any subject - like Albanians or Aussies or the Brits even for Chrissakes. Get a clue! Get to work! The USofA has spoken! and p.s. If you don't know what collateral damage is, look it up then turn that thing off! It hurts our American ears!

RT, keep up the good work! I used to watch CNN, but RT is way more fair than any of the stations currently on cable. If FOX news is allowed to spread lies(they even won a case in court which allows them to fabricate stories), then RT is allowed to be on cable news reporting top stories as well.

This must be an explanation of why our Chilean cable operators are currently carrying FOX News (transmitting in English while all of us speak Spanish), VOA (the same, except for the exceptionally boring programs of TV Martí broadcasted in Spanish), Bloomberg (ditto), BBC World (ditto) and CNN (three of them, one of which broadcasts in full and plain English), and refuses to carry TeleSUR (transmits in Spanish), RT (I don't even know if you have a Spanish signal, but it's irrelevant, see above) or even Al Jazeera (Arabic, but with an English signal, see above).

There is a communication war ongoing. So, RT, when will you do something in Latin America?

I tune out all Corporate Media in my house.  I don't subscribe to cable or satellite because the programming is pure garbage. I come to RT for news.  I still see FOX (faux) News on television over the air and I get sick from all of the sensationalism that occurs.  Yes, we have Free Speech, but when it comes to the news, fabrications and the use of editing should not distort the truth. sometimes I wish the news on what is actually going on in the world would be broadcasted instead of filtered, downplayed, or spun in a different direction.  So sad to see in a country founded Freedom.
