Konstantin Yaroshenko was abducted and covertly transferred to the United States from Liberia; he was not an American or Liberian citizen. He was a Russian citizen and was effectively missing for over a month.

This is clearly a provocation and Russia knows it well. US wants Russia reacts in an aggressive way, after that ,will try to reinforce its convictions over world's eyes of how dangerous it is. The provocation is so cynical that not only omit international and domestic regulations as well turn it into an object of mockery . The problem here is that Russia is only waiting to see what happen to react, instead to neutralize the infection sources. I think this is a reaction to the foreign and domestic policies that russia is doing to create political and business partners..

Juan Carlos the U.S can kidnap, arrest and can and make disappear any Russian citizens who venture outside of Russia. I am dismayed by the mockery of the U.S official press conference and the crude joke on the fax machine mixed of faxing Romania rather Russia! Russia has huge diplomatic presence in the U.S, including countless council offices and an embassy. The fax machine mixed up is stupid, arrogant and pathetic. However, it reflects very disturbing status of the U.S aggressive conduct in the world. But the Russians Foreign Ministry and the Russia’s media [RT] need to answer number of troubling questions. First, has Liberia, the country from which this Russian citizen has been kidnapped and extradited to the U.S, ever informed Russia that it has transferred a citizen of Russia to a third country, namely the United States on illegal drug trafficking charges? Second, what are the relationship between the U.S and Russia when it comes to consolidating effort in the fighting against trafficking of illegal drugs-which requires close cooperation and information sharing? Third, how would the U.S would have acted if Russia kidnapped a U.S citizen from Afghanistan and put him/her in Russian prison and kept the U.S in the dark for over two months and then made jokes that it made a misted by faxing UAE rather than the U.S! I thin if this unfortunate pilot was an American, today we would have had a massive diplomatic incident with profound implications but this unfortunate pilot is not an American; he is Russian. The central point of this case is that the U.S can arrest any one, anywhere at any time. Recently, the Russians gave the U.S a list of Afghan warlords who are engaged in the trafficking of illegal drugs. Based on the media reports, the U.S did not bother to thank Russia on this information. It also seems that this Russian pilot was already in U.S prison but the U.S did not bother to share this information with the Russian authorities.

What the idiots in D.C. seem to forget is that this practice cuts both ways. Any American travelling abroad is in danger of being kidnapped and hauled off to another country the same way this guy was. Already Cheney and Rumsfeld have been accused by other countries of serious crimes and they have to be careful about where they travel. This rendition nonsense can be applied to Americans, too. I expect we will be crying for "due process" when a few more Americans disappear into foreign jails without extradition papers.

Srbin Could it not be said that empire of chaos has reached the height of its powers long time ago and now is acting out rather than purposefully charting its global order. Tim and again, the empire of chaos failed on when tested. The empire of chaos failed in Iraq, its overwhelming military might failed to subdue the will of third world that has suffered the First U.S Gulf War and ten years of economic blockade before invading Iraq for the second time in 2003? Was not the failure of the empire of chaos clear to the entire world after the shameful ecological and human disaster in New Orleans? Is not the case the empire of chaos has failed in Afghanistan; is not the case the empire of chaos allowed reckless greedy deep water drilling that has destroy large part of the economy and ecology of the United States and oil is still pouring into the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Do you not think that this crude thuggish conduct is meant to divert the gaze of the American people from the ruination to economy, society and ecology inside empire of chaos itself. The last thing the Russians need is to retaliate this thuggish extra juridical act by arresting innocent Americans.

This quote is perfect -an A1Perfect- example of how Americans lie.["Crowley joked during the press briefing, saying “we pressed the wrong button to be brutally honest.” A reporter followed up with, “You mean the reset button,” which ignited a roar of laughter from both Crowley and the news reporters in the room"][Having quoted that - - Americans have this absurd, ignorant and cluelessly unaware style of lying they somehow think works. It goes like this. The liar does not make a serious statement about the lie because the reaction will be serious and the serious reaction is definitely not wanted as it would require intelligent discussion and justification. Thus, the trick here is to make the lie so blatantly absurd that it causes laughter on the part of both the liar and the audience. [paying someone to be in the audience as part of the act is a classic trick] The laughter releases the tension, shifts the focus momentarily from the seriousness of the lie and overshadows those who are quiet and not laughing. It's kind of a John Wayne/Ronald Reagan B-Movie line saying "heck, I'm just another 'eruhmercin hick. don't go gittin mad at me. I’m doin what they told me to do" Then, you see, the liar and the laughter overshadows anything serious - and they [the liars] are off the hook. It's only afterward that people see how stupid the statement was - but wait, in instant gratification American style, the issue is now over and the liar(s) are off the hook and people are talking about how a highly educated college grad could push that little ol copy button then correct it and send the fax then the reset or whateverrrrr button to the Governor of the State of Guantanamo instead of Moscow - and the party lied to is supposed to end up looking like the fool. God what an embarrassing country - the USelessA. Utterly Childish.

melnickrj Some may remember the famous White House press Party held by GWB during which he made lot of jokes about looking WMD under his disk and the bed in the White House. The U.S press laughed along despite a million Iraqis lay dead and a nation has been brought to an utter ruination. There are Americans, however, who speak strongly and openly, this heinous American war crime, the U.S illegal invasion and the occupation of Iraq. Russia is an old tradition- that is say that Russia is a nation with glorious history of dealing with countless advisories. Russians will not allow themselves to be provoked by this action. Most Europeans had adjusted to live under the U.S directives but for Russia has a different relationship with the U.S. I do not think that Russians will retaliate by arresting innocent American citizens.

PR101 re. 'There are Americans, however, who speak strongly and openly," I challenge any 1 - just 1- American Citizen, like myself, residing within The United States of America to refute this statement: "The majority of American Citizens are AFRAID -YES AFRAID- to clearly identify themselves - their names and identities - traceable to their homes or places of work within the United States- BY THEIR GOVERNMENT (i.e. HOMELAND SECURITY etc.)- and to openly speak out strongly AGAINST THE PRACTICE(S) of their Government - the Government of The United States of America" Americans, in my opinion, do not understand the difference between being a Dissident and being a Terrorist fearing they will be incarcerated for being a Dissident. Blame the "Third World" American educational system for the inability of the majority of Americans to comprehend the difference between the two terms - compounded by the very real fear brought about by yet another American War du Jour - The War on Terrorism - Terrorism nebulously defined by their own Govenment as BOTH foreign AND DOMESTIC (i.e. "perpetrated" by born 'n bred American Citizens). The US Government is very capable of labelling a dissident American citizen a terrorist and jailing that person indefinitely without bringing about formal charges and without following through with providing that citizen with the right to a speedy and fair trial by jury. This can be proven. Very easily btw. Very, very easily proven. This is a challenge to anyone to prove me wrong. Anyone. George Bush (aka The Mean Wizard of many wizards of Oz behind the Screen) did a fabulous con- job pulling off this trick... and Americans just roll over and assume the BETA position to these scare tactics when in their hearts they know someting - intuitively- is not quite right. Go figure.. """ "BOO!!!"""
