G20 meeting – helpful or just a waste of time?World leaders met in London on April, 2 in an attempt to find a way out of the world economic crisis, but did the meeting of minds actually solve the world's financial problems, or was it just a waste of time? |
That's not surprising he would say that, but about a year ago Bill Moyers did some research and found that colin powell knew full well when he gave that speech at the united nations that the information he was providing was untrue. There was no way he could not have known; for people of his position there's no such thing as "simple human error".
In politics, especially in the last decade, things are beginning to haunt. Fór, example, Obama tells that U.S. troops will move out of Iraq; but the long term strategy is still keeping a force of 50 thousand troops in Iraq for defensive and economic purposes. Another example, is the lying about what really happened in the piece just viewed. What´s next?

The big lies that powell told the world to justify the war crimes that followed are unforgivable. Powell should get his day in court and be allowed to defend the lies in court. These lies cost thousands of young American lives and the destruction of a country and countless dead and mutulated people on both sides. It is time to stop defending war crimes and try these criminals in the world court. Pleading ignorance is not a defence for a war criminals. The Hague needs to carry out it's job fairly and try all war criminals regardless of who they are or what country they come from. Let all war criminals take their punishment and their place along side Hitler and Stalin in the shameful dust bin of history.
