U.S. wastes hundreds of billions on missile defense?

The U.S. government has spent more than two decades and over $100 billion to develop a US missile defense system, but is it all worth it?
I would find it difficult to believe that the US would abandon their missile defence system for two reasons. Firstly, Obama will have to convince the American people that working closely with Russia militarily is a good thing. Secondly, the cost of this system with the idea of abandoning it will not sit well with the US military thusly creating problems for Obama. If there really was an interest by American people to work with Russia then why is there not more American people commenting or reading about these issues here on this blog. I am a Canadian and I do not trust American policy. I do not fear them but I certainly wouldn't trust them. They seem to always have a hidden agenda.
It is my belief that Russia should continue to have a calm approach to world problems. Russia can show the world that common sense and diplomacy can win the hearts of many nations. The USA will eventually lose their integrity on the world stage, and they will have to follow a different path.

USA won't act on politics, this is deception, they put a different face on the same intrussive foreign policy, Russians should play the game, but never trust them!!
