I really don't understand the allure of people to join these cults. Why humanity is still scourged with this Abrahamic plague is beyond me.

Robert, people want peace of mind, which cannot be attained when it is open. Religion is a way to cover some of the "unknowns" of the world with ultimate answers. Supposedly it also helps against loneliness.

Could it be that Russians that have denounced any kind of religone are now interested in what's going on in the US. I believe that this site is actually the latest attempt to show the Russian frustration of the greatest democracy in the world. Although US democracy should try to reach better places it is still the only way of life where you could live your life in peace and prosperity. Unlike the old broken USSR. But yet again you should understand the Russians envy: after years of oppression they still achieve better life for themselves and with time you might get rid of the old KGB dushbag called PM. I believe that in time you will understand that to critic a regime might help the regime at the end (as long as they are willing to try and built a better society) as oppose to your way of life. We all know that your net is owns by the old Russian Soviet Union regime but under a different name. Good luck with your hate towards the success of others.

@Robert I think it is a materialism issue in the western world. Before that people would try and find spirituality in India. Here in Europe Christianity really doesn't exist and in the US it is rapture political theology. If permitted a think there would be large converts to Christianity in Islamic countries.

But there is not reciprocity because in most Arab countries a Muslim cannot convert to Christianity. Western nations and the Russian Federation should ask for Reciprocity in Arab nations so Christian denominations can show their faith and make converts too. Even in U.S. Allies like Morocco and Saudi Arabia, preaching in the name of Christ is forbidden. Reciprocity should be the rule.

People who convert to Christianity in muslim world are often persecuted and many a times killed. Can you ask your friends in the new religion to help support such people. Don't you think others, deserve what you got without asking, Choose what is good for them.

“People that I knew since I was very small think that I've changed personalities because of this,” Katelynn says, referring to her religion. “They don't see past the scarf. They just see the fact that I have changed.” _________________________ Many Muslims talk about how they are not accepted into the Culture and that no one sees past their head scarfs/hijabs. I find that it is true, but this is because I simply cannot comprehend the reasoning for it is but also and mainly, my knowledge and my psychological reaction is that I see a female covered up, I believe she wants to be covered and hidden in purpose. I don't want to try to get to know this person if this person is all closed up and hidden and dark & mysterious. It is not very welcoming. Does that make sense? Why a muslim woman has covered herself up, and what I believe the reason for this to be, is because is to prevent other men from being tempted to relations with them. And so, if this is true, and women are a part of their husbands property, and therefore have to be clothed, I do not speak with them, and perhaps I should ask for permission from the husband to speak with the woman. In Canada, for the first time last year I noticed an influx of Muslims in the community. The ones who wear the full body wrap, and you cannot see anything but their eyes. It was so strange to me to see in Canada, where I had not experienced this before. The woman was fully covered so, and the husband was in normal jeans, and a t-shirt. I found it so strange that I did a double take, and have to admit stared a little because of the curiosity it stirred in me. But the husband looked at me with almost a threatening face, I will never forget it. He looked at me as if he owned me and how dare I look towards them. It started to make me, as a born Canadian, feel scared in my own country as a woman.

Reciprocity should be the rule. Enrique; are you aware that Russia doesn't take kindly to Evangelical/Catholic/Protestant missionaries either? Do the research yourself, but know that it's not only Muslim countries that find well-funded and powerful missionary groups to be a threat to their culture.
