Is the war in Afghanistan a lost cause?

The US-led war in Afghanistan continues to struggle and US President Barack Obama has decided to postpone the Kandahar offensive.
I used to think McCrystal was a mercenary tool of the bankers. However, his outburst which disparaged the senitive chicken-hawk toadies in Washington means he's truly OK. The war in Afghanistan will fall apart without him, and we'll finally get an Obama campaign promise fulfilled in his solo term.
Afghanistan cannot be conquered by the sword, rather it should be conquered by a good heart. Be more righteous than the righteous and more kind than the kind. Bring a better religion than the current..... and so on.... All of this cost money, and that's where it hurts. Free education and free healthcare are among things that cost money, but they are SO essential to form another tomorrows Afghanistan. Free foods and a pension given freely to the widows are another of the essentials to win the hearts of the people. Finally bringing a kind of brotherhood between the peoples. That's the way to win.

McGovern: "“I think Obama is a captive of the military, a captive of the CIA. " I disagree. Obama is a captive of his own delusions which are fed by the people around him, who continually tell him how "brilliant" he is, and manipulate him for their own purposes. Obama is just a common south Chicago street hustler (AKA "street coordinator") with no skill or talents other than smiling and playing basketball. Some people saw an opportunity to package Obama as "presidential" and sell him to the naive American voter. The American people are rapidly losing their confidence in Obama and are realizing that they were deceived into believing that he had the talent to be the president. The only ones who still seem impressed with Obama are the Russians who don't realize that the power in the White House resides not with Obama, but with the people in the shadows who whisper into his ears - sort of like the Rasputin and Tsarina relationship. Medvedev will soon go to Washington to pay his respect and tribute to Obama. Medvedev would be wise to keep an eye on the people around Obama, especially the ones whispering into his ear for they are the real power in the White House. Obama is a convenient prop to these people. Whether the Afghan war is lost or not is of no concern to Obama because: (1) He doesn't understand the war; (2) He is under the influence of his handlers and will do what they tell him. As long as his handlers, military and civilian, tell him the war must go on, so it shall be.
