That is her opinion. Who is this venezuelan lawyer? Where is the evidence? Why she did not giving it to Mel yesterday so he could denounced it during his UN speech? Let's not give credence to specious lawyers.

That is an evidence ! American talk with both sides of their mouth. American decisions'makers are the most cynical hypocritical and furbes peoples in the World. They have a cash-register instead of brain and are convinced to be God'choosed humans to guide the whole mankind. Barack Obama is not better than his predecessors were, just a pawn serving the capitalist globalisation's masters. In a week we shall know where Russia really stand. Sorry Future Generations ! Sincerely. Jean-Claude Meslin

They just can't get used to not controlling their near abroad. They feel it is their sphere of influence, and are protective about any uncontrolled changes not directly sanctioned by Washington. It has always been a challenge for countries within the US near abroad, to break free of Washington's grip. They continually fear that force from Washington will be despatched to put down any anti-Washington sentiments. Just a slight signal that they are not following the washington masters, can mean either direct force or financial blackmail through sanctions. Many aspire to the freedom, Russia can offer them, however breaking free form the control of Washington, is a difficult grasp to break. Post Washington states will find it very difficult, with such an unforgiving ex-master.

Whoever believes that Obama or some God sent prophet can change the stable US establishment is nuts. An ancient Greek saying goes like this: "I bring an owl bird {=Wisdom, philosophy}to Athens". Most of the following is common knowledge: 1.- Latin America is the biggest milk cow of the US. This is why the Truman Dogma was that Europeans should never interfere in Latin America. Some of these countries were called by the past "Banana crop countries", meaning among athers that the fields were owned by big multinationals and so were most of the mines and other resources. This explains why the roads form deltas towards the see ports and there is bed road connection between the Latin American countries, while the resent highway connects most of these countries to the US. 2.- As it was it was said in the excellent reportage, military and police exetives are trained in the US and only those can reach the top of the Hierarchy. During their training they are selected the most fit for this job. Some of the presidents were miltary that went through the spy preparatory school of "West Point". {This was one of the proposed carrier start ups to me}. Almost all Greek CIA agents go first through field training in Latin America and often there aquirre property and return there again and again. 3.- The presence of a large military base in a country is a very good reason and excuse in mainaining control of the politics in any given country as is the case of Onduras. When in the Greek Pentagon CIA and Mossad have offices, you can imagine how it is in Onduras. The NSA "Echellon" system filters all PC, etc all over the World with key words and phrases, it is defficault that some security mistakes won'nt be made by the complotters.

I can't see how she thinks "this could not have happened with support from the Americans" - it's pretty easy really, the judiciary or military leadership or whoever sends a handful of troops/police around to the president's house and they put him on a plane to Costa Rica. It doesn't seem complicated at all and not needing any input from the USA. Perhaps she thinks that the entire Honduran people are too stupid to have found a few people to do this without having someone else to hold their hand.

Meslin, in a week we will know nothing! Obama says one thing, then does the complete opposite, I won't bore you with the many examples we have witnessed this year. 1. As for Honduras, President Zelaya was in Washington and Obama and Clinton did not meet with him, why? 2. America is always the first to shout Sanctions when "civil liberties have been abused", why haven't they done so now? They usually even go for unilateral sanctions! 3. America has thousands of troops in Honduras, why? 4. The Venezuelan and Cuban ambassadors were detained by the coup masters on the day of the coup, why? Why not detain the western ambassadors? This whole things has smelled of Washington since day1.

it should be possible to create a covenant with the united nations so that if a nation suffers a military coup, the UN could intervene to revert a military coup and to punish the plotters.
