White House to collect personal info from social networks

Public watchdogs in America say they've uncovered a secret plan by the White House to harvest personal information from social networking sites like Facebook.
Is this attorney/reporter so obtuse that she cannot grasp what is going on here? Does she not read her history or not research issues thoroughly before she comments? History, and mainly speaking of U.S. history, has taught us that when the government partakes on courses of gathering information, it is normally not for innocent reasons. If it is, then it only initially is. There are always those in the government that will take information on others and use it to their advantage, even knowing that it will hurt the individuals it was gathers on. If you are so innocent as to believe that our government here in the States is going to gather our personal information, without our knowledge, and use it for honest and forthcoming purposes, then you either need to read more or find a new job. What's up with all this redundancy in a time of economic collapse? Facebook was started by the cia. Why doesn't the whitehouse just have the cia pass the info along to them? It would save a lot of money that could be put to other repressive uses on the american public. With the country going into depression and expanding its wars around the globe, they are going to need all the funds they can extort to keep that repression ball rolling....
