We have to wonder if this isn't the work of the HAARP program.

My love, thoughts and sympothy are with you all! While praying this morning I heard the tragic news on radio and then I switched on my tv! I continued praying and got down on my knees and said a special prayer for the people of Haiti. I cannot imagine what it must feel like, walking around looking for my family supposedly dead! I don't know any of you but that doesn't stop me from loving you all and hoping that my prayers and the prayers of many others are more than enough comfort! I wish I could walk with you all and hold your hands and pray with you! A look and a touch are soo.. much more than words can express at times like these, I am so far away but I hope you can feel support and comfort within words! God bless!

The Haitian Government, the UN, the EU and Bill Clinton now have to work for a NEW HAITI from scratch, where people have a common will. It is an opportunity to build a new Haiti, better organized, with a common national goal. Curiosly, Haiti was the first independent Caribean nation, in 1804, and those islands like Martinique which continue as French provinces, have a level of life much better than Haiti. So Independence is not a guarantee of better management. That´s what people in Reunion (Indian Ocean) thought.

It is nice to know that the world is responding to the Hatian earth quake disaster in a more positive way than it did for the New orleans disaster. I guess disasters in the United States doesn't count for anything, because New Orleans is still waiting for help, and even their own country, the United States has not responded adequately to their disaster. The United States always leads the charge when there is a disaster anywhere in the world, except for America itself. There is just no propaganda advantage worldwide and you cannot put on a big show when helping your own people during a disaster. This is so shameful and deceitful. America needs to start taking care of it's own citizens during domestic disasters. After all, it is the American tax payer's money that is thrown at disasters all over the world while ignoring the needs of Americans at home.

@Alex... There is very little information on HAARP and the extent of its capabilities. Pointing at events that occur naturally without man made assistance won't prove or disprove anything. It would be best served to investigate the true capabilities of that particular program before pointing fingers. I, too, am interested in that particular program, but as of now I think it is just an earthquake. Poor people :-(

@haiti Of course the world did'nt respond in the same way after Katrina. The US should, as "Haiti" said, be able to handle such a situation on their own (and this catastrophe is most likely far worse...). It is however important to, as the RT reporter said, think of the fact that many politicans there most likely are corrupt, and that it therefore is better to give material- and personel aid rather than money. @Alex What a piece of nonsense. You would have to detonate something in the scale of a nuclear bomb if you want to release the tensions stored in the tectonic plates, if that is possible to be performed by humans at all, and such an action would not go unnoticed on seismografs around the world^^

Just a few days ago, on TV, I saw Ex-President Bill Clinton bringing investors , training and hope to the people of Port Au Prince...and now this catastrophe occurs. The Haitian people need the United States to help more than ever --- just a small portion of what we spend on wars would save the lives and futures of one of our closest neighbors in this hemisphere. In Haiti there is one sad occurrence after another. I can see why people in that country do not put their strength and energy into doing more to improve the island. People must live from day to day, never knowing when the next calamity will happen. There are many Haitian people here in NYC and my heart goes out to all of them. I was relieved to read that relief for Haiti is already being organized by this country. Stephanie Mcnealy

I agree with you , it would take around five years for Haiti to stuad up again with the help of the world. I got many Hatian Friends is just sad to see how many people have died and just thinking about the kids and people with no water or food is just depressing. Stop with the nonsense of the HARRP progam if you dont even know what it is, this people need the worlds help. I want to help! My heart is breaking for the people of Haiti. I live alone and have enough room for a small family. I am not sure if it will be possible to help just one family by giving them shelter here in the States but I would sure like to try. I don't have a lot of money but I can provide them with a home till they can once again stand on their own. I do not know how to accomplish this but God will show me. My prayers are with them 24/7. God have Mercy! I also want to say that the 90999 number only is working for us in the U.S. Many people on Face Book from different countries are asking how they can also donate. Some even saying that they do not trust their country and want to do it by text to the 90999 but can't. Please respond to them. Finally I want us all to pray for those, who in this devestation, have ill thoughts to the people of Haiti.

This disaster should prompt the United States to do the right thing for the people of New Orleans before running off to other countries with the American tax payer's money. All Americans have a vested interest in America's resources. They must always come first. If there are adequate resources to distribute around the world it should not be done for political purposes and only with the consent of the tax payers.
