You people live a sick and violent country ,
I would not go to America if i was paid to !

Joe Dundee 25.10.2013 20:15

The protesters were clearly brutalising the professor when he was walking to work. We should support the right of people to protest peacefully, but should we support the right of people to bully and harrass other people?

I have not seen that RT showed action of Russian police with the same passion ... the double standards of "free" television RT. "This is very true RT can you answer this I know how America's messed up, but isn't true alot of countries try to emulate America especailly when they are a super power!

Do you expect the police to be gentle with these punks? NYPD acted no differently than any other big city police department.

Unfortunately, that is so true in and out of USA. Population concentration on small spots (like modern cities) really make us wild and violent.

Russia's sins are irrlevant to the argument. RT has its own reasons for exposing the crimes, but it does not diminish the fact that these are crimes against the American citizenry. The great tragedy is that the Russian media is the only outlet willing to expose it. After Clinton deregulated the media, it became a paid functionary of the military-industrial complex. This is a very bleak time to be an American.

USA

„Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me:

I lift my lamp beside the golden door.“

J.JINNES I'd like to experience such a reporting whom Russia is at war with one of its neighboring countries. At least U.S. media may report live and critically about their own troops. Americans do not get it right but they have balls. The United States of America is not PUSSYLAND.

Robert Neal 23.09.2013 19:05

almost every Russian, because if he could, would emigrate to the United States. The U.S. is not perfect but it is free. It's a free country where you can say what you want. Russia still has an inferiority complex. Honest! Which Russian even believes this. Russians know that you can not say anything against Putin. In Russia there are the arbitrary authority par excellence. Putin makes the big maker. Domestically, he only works on his retention of power, now and then he barks from the backyard of Europe.

In the USA , a man can be given lifetime imprisionment or execution for the murder of one person. This war criminal, Petraeus, murdered 1.5 million Iraqis, ordered tortures, left 4.5 orphans in Iraq, etc., and he is being paid 1 million dollars to infiltrate student's mind with his warped mind? This is an example of how low the USA has sunk.

"I have not seen that RT showed action of Russian police with the same passion "

The value of RT to us in the US is precisely this and this is quite independent of how they report on Russia. Just like China Daily reporting on US corporations. Some day whistle blowers from every where will be heard, I hope. For now its important for the American Public to see the criminal hypocrisy of how our tax payer funded public officers upholf the First Amendment.

Isn't it coincidental the Bloomberg's NYPD use the same harsh and overly cruel tactics the Israeli military uses? The NYPD is populated with the barely educated who would be thugs and street punks if the police force hadn't hired them. There must not be any real crime in NY if 15 cops can jump each student protester. This is another story being ignored by the American press.

Fascinating to see the responses that basically say its ok for the police to beat people they don't agree with. The problem with that point of view is that its anti-American. America is based on the idea that all the people have the right to free speech. But, what its devolved into is that only the rich and powerful have the right to speak. Anyone else is met by police violence that silences their right to speak. And that of course, is not democracy. Its amazing to see the number of Americans who come on here and attack the concepts of free press, free speech and democracy.

These broke, wanna-be hippy protesters have been a whiny nuisance. Nice to see someone stomped out their teenage drama!

Alexander 23.09.2013 00:37

I have worked crowd control before. And I will say that RT news just covered one point of view regarding the N.Y PD "brutality" ; Those protesters must have really done something that crossed the line in order to get that response. Believe me I know.
