how on earth any of you can comment that this kid deserved to be beaten and left in a swamp is beyond me.  you make me sick.  whether or not he may have been charged with throwing eggs, these officers broke the law.  there is no question what they did, and the prosecutor didn't need this kid's testimony to convict the cops.  everyone knows what would be happening if the tables were turned.  white adults break the law all the time and are not prosecuted at all, nor are they beaten and left for dead.  

if the courts cannot step up and convict violent offenders when they have clear cut evidence of an offense, the people will do it.

It's amazing how people can speak up for injustice, when it comes to the lives of children of other race. Because we all know that the police have the right to take the life of any person that they see fit. But be warned that words that you put on the lives of ours will eventually fall back on you and yours, and if you don't believe so look around and think about the lives your parents had its not the same one that you have. Many of your lives are equal to minorities of the 80s & 90s, so in the next 10 you may find your lives & life styles mirrors blacks of the 70s or 60s. So keep thinking that what’s happening on the other side town doesn't affect you. Just keep giving you approval & it will eventually make its way to a street near you.

This boy is a little punk. He knows that what he was doing was wrong. He could have gone to jail, so I'm sure he felt that despite what the cops did he deserved it.

Those cowardly thugs (the Cops!) probably threatened the kid and/or his family if he testified!  They should be thrown off the force.  With this kind of protection, I'd be worried if I was a NYer.

The child is a hoodlum because he throws eggs on Halloween? In New York this is considered tradition, this is how we all had fun as children. The real criminals here are these police officers who ridiculed and probably even traumatized this child. The proper procedure for these "MEN in BLUE" was to drive them to their parents and let them handle him. This was out of line and completely wrong. These types of actions is what creates criminals, this child was clearly abused which will then generate his hatred towards authority, which in fact will fuel a criminal mind.
