An Occupy Wall Street activist was acquitted of assaulting a police officer and other charges on Thursday after jurors were presented with video evidence that directly contradicted the NYPD’s story.

there are now apps so the phone camera downloads to net while filming. officer embareassed can no longer take the phone and squash the evidence. the truth by then is already "out there."

Recording demonstrations, in principle, can clarify who did what and thereby avoiding situations like this.

Not to mention that it reduces the incidents of "bad cop" syndrome, because if a cop gets out of line, we have a video of who he/she is and how they look like. We can then post the video online, and ask people who the cop is (they have a tendency of covering their name tags with tape) where they live and then publish their Address!!

M ake a database of "bad cops" complete with pictures, addresses, and emails!! This will be every "bad cop's" nightmare!!!
