Revealed: Recent quakes in US 'almost certainly man-made'

April 06, 2012 16:36

A US Geological Survey research team says a remarkable increase in earthquake occurrence in the US in the past decade is “almost certainly man-made.”

My sister earned $500,000,000 and all she had to do was spam message boards! Are you sure that is how she made that money? It is more likely that she has been posting her videos, your mom's, your other sister's and your wife on the web aside from hooking.

as a reminder also,  4,000 quakes along this ridge in one year are not created  from fracking if you look  and research the maps, this is every 1-2 days at a average depth of over 20 miles deep. evidence is there but the govt in 1805 even admitted in geological studies the great lake were part of a volcanic caldera complex,  that ranges form Minnesota Wisconsin lake erie and ontaro all the way to Halifax nova scotia Canada theirs over 10 calderas, and just 1 alown between Montreal Quebec and Ottawa Ontario the crater area is over 80 miles in diameter by satellite view. got to love cover ups for money!!!

I know people who work for engineering firms that is very active in fracking techniques for extracting shale natural gas.
The difference in the US and let's say Russia or Saudi is that in Russia, the gas or oil is naturally pressurized or that the deposites are in larger quantities. In the US, most of the new drilling are done in pair of wells (usually) where exposives are set down into the earth crust, they are then setoff to release the deposites. Then fresh water and solutions are pumped from one end to force the gas or oild out from the other end.
These are all man made techniques and they will cause the earth to move which could cause earthquakes.
This type of mining is done throughout the world but US is leading it thanks for all the de-regulations. The amount of damage this is doing to the environment is just unbelievable specially with regards to water springs. Check out many video clips about this on YouTube. just seach for "shale gas" or "burning tap water". --------- ---------------Great post. It is unbelievable and proof of corruption in US government that this is even allowed.

My guess is that the earthquakes are from explosions in the underground war for planet earth.

"Could it be that these enormous subterranean caves miles underground (which once held vast oceans of oil and natural gas) are now empty and unstable?"

Good Lord... a facepalm is not enough here.
Did you deliberately skip school, or are you plain stupid? Hollow caves? Maybe earth is hollow too?

Let me guess: you are an american. Well due to people like YOU who don't have an understanding of virtually anything unless it is forcefully spoon-fed to you, you have such "hollow something" (hollow heads, rather) ideas. Due to people like you the world laugs when you yet again elect some obvious puppet to be your presindent, or complain and sue McDonalds if you get overweight whilst eating 20 bigmacs a day and "not understanding the health risks, as there were no warning labels"

Hey maybe you would also like to know if  the sun rotates around the earth of whatever, I'm sure you have a great deal of other equally creative ideas you need to straighten out.

Could it be that these enormous subterranean caves miles underground (which once held vast oceans of oil and natural gas) are now empty and unstable? Some say that there is nothing to worry about since water seeps in to fill these caves, but if true, doesn't water eventually erode sand and rock over a period of time?  What if these caves are in the process of collapsing? Could that be related to the strange underground "booms" and "explosions" people are hearing around the country?  Should we be worried?

I dont know much about the above subject other than the effects it leaves on the water supply of rural american communities  which over time can be cancerous many have died  from these effects and mineral extraction. The photographs of cancerous growths and deformed children nearly brings tears to your eyes. And the us government dept. that deal with this are ALWAYS on the side of "big business" and make it very hard and financial impossible for small communities to take them to court..This is the hidden side of "THE AMERICAN DREAM"

In other words you have no idea of how fracturing works, and you (or some other clueless person) made that up.

Do some research first before you write such nonsense.

Good lord, Why did the RT write this article?  Haven't we heard enough obstructionism and denial from right wing idiots and gunhugging fools?

Always a pleasure to read these "civilized" commenters suck as steve or dmidify :-D You two should check at least some facts before starting that bs about "conspiracy theories" :-D

On serious note - UK banned fracking pending investigation in series of small earthquakes. Some US states also...
As for Russians, as far as I know, they don't utilize such methods and even they do - who will suffer from earthquakes in huge and almost uninhabited Siberia??

Here we go again with RT spouting off way off conspiracy theories.

May be the increase in earthquakes are due to the space aliens.

RT the "News" channel for the tin foil hat crowd.

If this is true, then why aren't other countries who drill for far more natural resources (Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, etc...) experiencing the same problems. Also, the geologist clearly state abroad that they can't prove the connection, they just know it is causing it. Sounds like a loud of bull to me. Also, consider in the 1800s when a large series of earthquakes rocked the Middle of America and Ohio.. before oil was ever struck on American Soil. So sick of these extreme liberals making up facts to support their imaginary bs.

Should we wonder why they go all around the world to claim the oil and even franking? And hoolyy boolly did they miscalculated the HAARP this time ;) ...what goes around comes around!
It looks like the Canadian fortune-teller might have been right mapping 60% of the USA territory will go under the water.

No doubt they'll still insist these practices are "safe"...every practice is "safe" when it makes big energy a ton of money isn't it?
